Good to know! That's money that can be spent elsewhere,,,,I feel like why pay extra when drinks are included in everyones package?

Sounds beautiful! Yeah, it's easy to get caught up in a lot of extra stuff that you really don't need. I would like to keep my daughters wedding uncluttered, but beautiful. I think We're going to make a book on Shutterfly of pictures of the two of them since they've known each other and leave large borders for guests to sign as their guest book. We're going to do chair sashes and maybe table runners, not sure yet. You will not be disappointed with the resort. It is beautiful!

I'm only at 48. I don't know if I'll make it before the wedding! LOL!

What a great thread! I am at the beginning of helping my daughter plan her DW and we are already running into a lot of crap! I told her to forget it and do what she wants....Her dad and I will be there and so will his. Her best friend will be there and so will his...doesn't really matter who else shows up. It will be beautiful and we will have a great time no matter what!

She is going with coral and gray...it will be pretty, but it's hard to find things in the coral. She wants to use lanterns and flowers in her centerpieces. I haven't really started looking for the lanterns yet. I'm sure that will end up being my job! The cylinder vases are really pretty, but you're right. Hard to get down there without breaking. Your colors will be beautiful....and pretty easy to find!

We're hoping to keep it at 25-30 ppl. Want it to be small, but beautiful! What are your colors? What are you doing for centerpieces? My daughter just picked her save the dates and we are getting ready to order them. Probably wont send them until the beginning of October. We were lucky enough to be able to tay at Sapphire last summer for a few days and it is just as beautiful as the pictures!

Congrats! My daughter has booked Oct. 25, 2014 and we feel the same way....can't wait to get started! She is getting ready to order save the dates... I let out a big sigh of relief when we finally got a confirmation! We are busy trying to figure out centerpieces that wont break the bank but will be easy to travel with. She would like to use lanterns and flowers. I think we may take the lanterns and contact Lucy ( see past posts in this forum) about the flowers. I hear she is reasonable and does a great job. What are your colors?

I have a question for all of you that have already sent save the dates. We are getting ready to order save the dates for my daughters wedding and I wondered what info you included on yours. Did you give any travel info or just your wedding website? She really didn't want to do a website, so I wondered if you think it would be OK to include the TA's name and number on the back or even on a separate page included in the envelope? I really need some input here. Oh, and we finally got the official confirmation for Oct. 25, 2014! YAY!

I don't think we will extend the reception either...would rather spend the money elsewhere! We plan on going to the disco or just the lobby bar. Wherever everyone wants to go. I agree that you will have fun anywhere!

I have a quick question for all you ladies. What, if any, info did you send with your save the dates? Any travel info or did you just give your wedding website? We really didn't want to do a wedding website, Would it be too awful to give the travel agent info on the back of the save the dates? Or put a page in the envelope with the save the dates? I really need some input here. Thanks!

Thanks! I heard from the TA today and my account has been charged...just waiting for the official confirmation! My daughter chose Oct. 25, 2014 for some complicated reasons! She really wanted sooner, but oh well....We are excited to get started planning!

We have decided we don't want to lug that stuff to Mexico either and have decided to deliver the bags to guests a week or so before we leave. We are going to include luggage tags that I am making, a couple bottles of Corona, along with all the normal OOT stuff. We'll include a packing list and letter. I hope this gets our friends excited for the trip!

I finally heard back from Anel. She requested that I re-send my credit card info because there was a problem reading it. I guess that means my daughter's date is open! Excited to get the confirmation! Do they send you packet of info or do you just use the one she sent when I requested information? Thanks for all the help. You all have been so helpful! Thank you!

Wondering how long it took you to hear back from the resort. We sent the request and deposit info last week and still haven't heard back. I sent it through our TA and she is having trouble getting a response from the hotel. I guess maybe the holiday got in the way on this end?

We are hoping to keep it at 25 - 35 for that exact reason. My daughter never wanted a large wedding and this was the perfect solution...as long as we keep the guest list under control!

We are thinking of coral and gray...light gray...almost a silver. What do you think?

We are trying to book my daughters wedding at Now Sapphire for Oct. 25, 2014. I am already starting to get frustrated,,,,something I swore I wouldn't do! Sent my request and payment to the TA last week and she has not been able to get a response from Anel after 4 emails and 3 phone calls! I really just want to know we have the date we want. I can't imagine the date being taken at this point, but you never know! Oh well, I guess I need to learn to be patient, but I'm excited to get started and I feel like we really can't until we know we have the date! My daughter is hoping for a wedding on the beach and cocktail hour and reception on the tequilla terrace. Cross your fingers for us!
