Anyone who has been to EDR, did you need to bring an electric converter and what was the beach towel situation like, was it always easy to get a towel? Preparing a what to pack tips list for my guests and want to offer up some suggestions around these two things...

Allie, quick question...what kind of bags did you use for your OOT bags? I remember seeing a photo on here a while back, but can't find it for the life of me!!! I could totally be wrong though... If you did the canvas bags, did you see guests using them throughout their stay? Or did you wish you would have just used disposable bags?

target has them, I've heard of people using coupons for them but I haven't found any so I just bought three boxes of them for about 8 bucks total, not bad.

Great idea!!! I've been seeing a ton of them lately at my goodwill!!! AND REMEMBER the thing about goodwill is that there stock is constantly changing, so don't give up, check back often. Trust me, I am a goodwill junkie : )

I'd like to get people's thoughts on the cake as well. I didn't plan on having one because I heard they were lacking flavor and sorta dry. If anyone else had a great cake, please let me know!

Jamaica, Mexico and Punta Cana (dominican republic) are what I've heard that you get the most bang for your buck. I don't know much about Cuba but I would probably check out these three to get an idea on prices. Good luck and congrats!!

Yea I have a DW book also but I feel like I have only looked at it once since I bought it and haven't really needed anything in there. Once I started booking and making decisions I've been tracking everything in a spreasheet to keep my budget in line so that's kinda where my breakdown came from.

Yea we only had so many people book already because we had a guaranteed group rate for 30 days and I was scared the rate would go up after the 30 days so I told everyone that we didn't know what was going to happen. Luckily the rate has stayed the same after the 30 days was up and we have some people who I know wanna go but haven't booked yet. When are you sending out your invitations? I just checked with AirTran this morning to see if the flights were up but October shows up in the drop down but no flights available yet. Should be soon!!! If you have more than 10 people that may be leaving on the same date you can check with them to get a group rate so when the flights are available and I hear back from them I'll let you know what the rate is for my group. I think think we'll be in that cheaper rate category though because we're staying longer than anyone else in our party and aren't leaving on the same flight. I have gone dress shopping. I went to the bridal show in Baltimore and got a $50 David's bridal coupon which expired 10/31 so I went and got my dress before it expired, haha : ) love using coupons! It was retail 499 then was on sale for 450 and with my coupon it was only 400. I did tell her my budget was $1000 but she picked it for me and I was honestly chocked at the service level there. I went in with really low expectations and came out with my dress! It's a strapless chiffon flowy dress, I'd pull it up to send you a link my the FI is sitting right here. Have you been shopping yet? oooo yea that's a good question. I talked to my friend who honeymooned in riviera maya b/c i insisted that she pack a travel size off and I think she said bugs weren't a problem, but I'd like to hear it from someone who's been to EDR...

I wonder if there will be an opportunity to win him as your wedding planner while you're there... that would be awesome!!
