  1. I would not recommend calling, but a group email might be a good place to start. You don't want to hassle everyone especially if they're afraid to tell you they can't afford to go.
  2. Getting married in Riviera Maya at El Dorado Royale October 4, 2013!! So excited!! We're using destinationweddings.com and already have 24 people that have put down a deposit. Looking forward to booking our flights soon. Air Tran told me to contact them around Jan 1st when the flight schedule for Oct is released so we can get a group rate/discount. Woop Woop! I've been gathering some items for my OOT bags and can't wait until I've reached 150 posts so I can download attachments and start designing stuff!!
  3. Went to a bridal show because I got free tickets and won a free photo shoot and $100 off an album, just got my little black book in the mail and I have to wait 9 months to give it to him...soooo exicted, he will be BLOWN away!! I don't even own a thong so this is totally out of my element lol!!!
  4. absolutely! I think people are going to need some direction when they arrive especially since most haven't attended a destination wedding before
  5. Without getting spammed by advertisers or people trying to solicit you, my fiance and I are going through Destinationweddings.com and we have chosen them instead of an in person travel agency near us simply because I figured I'd give it a shot and have not looked back. You're probably thinking how helpful can a "dedicated wedding rep" be, who knows where they're located and how often will we have contact with them...I get it and I was the same way. We have a rep in New Jersey (we're in MD) and she's available anytime I need her, call her on her cell, shoot her an email, super responsive and helpful! There's a $50 deposit, but once you book your resort, you get it deducted from your reservation! If you have questions, PM me! Good luck and congrats! We're also having an Oct 2013 wedding in Riviera Maya at El Dorado Royale!!
  6. I got my dress just for my beach wedding, and don't plan on preserving it and am even debating bringing it home simply because I don't have a use for it. Am I alone in this? It was only $400 so I didn't spend a ton on it, what is everyone else doing with their dress after the wedding?
  7. @KristieT, your dress looks amazing! I am so blown away at the skills of the seller on etsy, great job conveying what you're looking for!
  8. Agreed, two is totally normal and acceptable! My sister will be deployed for 6 months as we'll be in the middle of planning. We have chosen not to have a wedding party so I have a friend that'll be sorta filling in if I need the help while my sister is out of the country. You chose your MOH for a reason and even though times may have been tough for you two recently, don't feel funny about asking other people to help out in her place whether as a second MOH or just as a good friend.
  9. l think some guests would prefer the OOT bag simply because they may not be interested in excursions. I know some family and friends will probably want to chill by the pool the whole time and will not be interested in doing anything planned.
  10. Great idea! I'll have to check out shutterfly, i even have a gift card that i got from david's bridal!!
  11. good idea, and thanks for the update about customs! My AD pills are in individually wrapped little sheet thingys so I think i'll be ok if I divvy them up, right?
  12. also, a voucher for breakfast if your hotel has one or gift certificate for a meal would be nice too!
  13. cups or tumblers!! guests will always be able to use these, either at your destination or at home!
  14. I can't wait until I can use these templates, love your bags and all of your photos!!
  15. hmm...i'm still debating on the type of bag, i wish there was a poll for destination wedding guests we could send out, haha!
  16. etsy has stickers you can get for pretty cheap. she'll customize them too! 60 for around $20 http://www.etsy.com/listing/71932786/60-custom-glossy-waterproof-wedding?utm_campaign=Share&utm_medium=PageTools&utm_source=Pinterest
  17. haha, I did the same thing, i'm so tired of people asking why i'm buying out all of their stock!! haha!! just bought 25 eye masks from target for $1 each. Someone asked if i was going to put them in stockings. Like I have 25 stockings i need to fill, haha yea right!
