  1. Wouldn't you wanna do it the next day? You wouldn't want to be at your reception with a wet dress right? Or am I confused lol? Honestly $250 doesn't sound bad, a professional in the riviera maya charges upwards of 1500$...
  2. I felt the same way about the lanyards...lol. The coils are a bit more..discrete...I think that's the word I'm looking for? Haha. But I love that they are sand and water proof. I don't see myself toting my purse around the resort.
  3. Congrats! I love your gown and your pics at gorgeous! Sounds like everything went well with the exception of the cake:)
  4. It's def for those who have time , it takes a lot of time to match deals and coupons. But here in va farm fresh doubles up to 2 $ almost every month, and1$ every week, so we have lots of opportunities. Cherina, you go girl! Love me a good deal!
  5. I didn't get them but oriental trading has them, and they ate beach safe. I heard from one bride that eeevvvveeerrryyy one used them! Hey put tip money ect in em and hey we're perfect:) hope that helps
  6. Love it! Looks great. I agree that increasing the font size will make a huge difference. I did the same type of time line but at the bottom I out some attire tips, because I didn't include any attire info with our invitations. How do you think I should go about spreading the work about the attire? Including info in the welcome book is prob a silly idea right? Thoughts?
  7. Girl you have 770'pins on that jank! Haha great inspiration
  8. Pinterest monster myself bamabride Here's mine. http://pinterest.com/loveforsand/wedding/
  9. Thanks beabride! This is great info. The jungle tour sounds interesting. I think I'll look into that more. We went to XelHa last time I stayed in the area and it was pretty cool. Lots of snorkeling to do, and some neat cenotes, and a cliff jump/lazy river. they do charge lots of extra for their additional activities but we all had a good time. We even saw a barracuda!
  10. Party pub crawl!?? I'm gonna look that up, it sounds cool. I wanna do the filet as well, and have the same location you did. Did they as everyone how they wanted their meat? Silly question I know but I have family that likes their meat super well done lol, and I want mine rare. .. Sounds like your guests had a ton of fun! I def wanna check out Chichen Itza, its organic a hike but I think FI and I are doing it on the honeymoon portion of our stay. Congrats to ya! Sound like you had a great experience!
  11. Yay! A dreams Tulum bride! I don't have an answer for you but I can tell you I asked Landy about paper lanterns and she said we can't hang our own lights/lanterns because of the safety/ladder thing, but quoted me $150 for the resort to hang them. Great inspiration pic, I love it!
  12. Taegan, Thanks for your review! You look amazing in your pics! Your dress is perfect and very beachy. I love. Can I ask you, did the resort makeup/hair ppl come to your room, or was it an outside vendor? Your hair looks flawless! I was also wondering about your reception location, do you have any pics? I guess I'm curious as to how exactly they set your tables up in terms of plates/glasses. How was dinner? You seems like you guys had a great time. What type of excursions did you all do?
  13. Congrats! Sounds like you had a great time. Would love to see some pics!
  14. Hey! Sorry bout your fam ev! Glad your dress is ok though!we were relatively unscathed here in Hampton roads but I did get some flooding into our den, which sucks. I'm not complaining though cause NY and NJ got it really bad. Yup, we have a cluster of crap! Haha our spare room is now referred to as the wedding room! Hope all the other East coasters here made it through Sandy ok:D
  15. The workout buddy def helps. Mine was my fiancé, and it was so funny cause we would both be DEAD tired but we would push through, like trying to show the other one up. Then he threw his back out and I had midterms... and we have become bums again. I'm starting up again though just as soon as our workout room is fixed from the flood!
  16. Melnry The tequila tasting is through our resort, in a private party type area. It's 17$ a person.. Weird I know having an all inclusive and paying to drink, but they do snacks and stuff like that and I think it will be great:) As for the bags.. I'm most def wishing I didn't have to lug all this crap down with me! I may give mine out before we go at least to the ppl who are local.
  17. I had to demote my moh... It sucked. But she wasn't helping with ANYTHING and didnt show up to my dress hunting and trying on appts. I think she was jealous honestly, but she was also being wishy washy whether she was even going on the trip! Now she isn't going at all, partly I think because I demoted her. Keep it in mind, if your friend is this type of person. It suck cause this is my very best friend, but ppl change:(
  18. I do agree about the bags to a certain extent. We did them but tried to keep them somewhat simple, and didnt do a bunch of monogrammed items and mugs or randoms ie. water bottles . I did get a few things I thought could truly be up to use, like shotglasses:) meds/ Advil, and some other things. I really like the caterman an idea... We wanted to do something like this put it was super pricey. We are doing a tequila tasting for our guests though, they'll get to try a bunch of different types of tequila, and they can bring their shotglasses!
  19. Hi! Welcome:) there will be some hidden costs, but it all depends on your resort or venue really. Congrats on your engagement, and happy planning to you!
  20. Congrats! keep it up girl! So jealous of your commitment ...haha
  21. I need an answer too! All I want is some simple roses! Anyone been to PDc Walmart?!
