Your so detailed! I'm loving this! I guess your set up isn't too too pricey really.. You seem to have had a lot of stuff it terms of the poof balls. I do have chair sashes, overlays, and runners though. But I only have 4 tables... So hopefully in terms of table decor it's not too pricey. In hindsight I wish I hadn't already bought the sashes, but I really loved the look of them in the resort photos. I also am flying my own photog down. She is doing the hole wedding week activities for a gret price, including a ttd at the cenote. I wold never been able to afford the prices the Mexican phtogs charge. I'm not getting a dance floor. It would be nice, but its like 700 bucks! Pretty much the same cost my DJ is charging for his services. I'm hoping to have my reception on the beach as well so dancing on the sand will add to the experience:) I can't wait to see more reception pics! Keep me posted!

Congrats dee dreams! I'm loving all the recent activity in this thread.i love your dress on you. The back is beautiful. I appreciate you sharing your set up costs with us, that's one of the grey areas for me, and I'm wondering what they are gonna charge. We're you given a free upgrade in your room? We got the junior suite but I think the deal we got with our ta is we get an upgrade depending on availability. That's pretty gross about the room stinking... And I'm shocked the man was rude to you, but I guess wherever you go you run the risk of meeting someone like that. The minister on the other hand is unacceptable... I have two people doing readings so this will not fly with me. It's sad your mama didnt get to say her blessing! Overall it sounds like your experience was pretty good. Thanks for sharing! I can't wait to see more pics:D

I'm really sorry to read about your situation. I understand how rough the budget factor can be on limited incomes. Have ou been in touch with a ta? They may be able to help find you something budget friendly, a lots of them don't charge nothing for their services. I can refer you to mine, if you like. She is amazing. The best part for us was that there was only a small down payment due and then total amount due 90 days before traveling... For us, that's right after taxes, so it works out really great. In the mean time. Your family should not be pressuring you, AT ALL. as a student funds are usually very limited, so they should be able to understand that. Find a way to politely tell them to back off because funds are tight. Unless of course, they wanna chip in:) keep your chin up!

19 bucks a head? That is CRAZY. I thought it was like 200 bucks or something.. For my 22 guests . Was it because you got the seaside grill? That freaking blows my mind. My heart is breaking as I type to hear that your dinner was not up to par. I've eaten at this resort in the past and was pleased with the food, so this really is devasting news for me! Plus a lot of our family are food snobs... So I can see this not going over well! Over all it sounds like your experience was still ok. I really can't understand why we would have to pay extra for a particular drink.... Makes no sense. Anyway, that info def helps and I am still looking forward to seeing more pics and reading your review. ...although you have basically told me everything already!

I remember reading about the extendd reception charge some where, isn't it per person? How did the bar work out for your reception? Can ppl have whatever they want, do the servers run and get it, or do guests go to the nearest resort bar? I just saw the wedding guide said additional charge for international bar... So I'm like ok... It's an all inclusive resort lol...

I went ahead and got the original. There were some things the original had I didn't think would be replicated to my desire. For example, there is gold and silver threading in the original dress. The cost of the dress for the original is like 900-1000, but I bought it used for $500 from a bride on recycled bride. It's an amazing dress! I'm glad I went ahead an took the risk buying it used, and I couldn't be happier. Some women might think that's bad jojo... But I couldn't be happier:)

Ya know... I totally did read that haha. I tend to be quite the spaz sometimes, forgive me! I feel like I have a lot of decor, so your list makes me feel better about it all. I can understand how a small detail like your chapel pews could bug you! I guess I'm worries about fees adding up. I'm sure it will be nice to have everything all done for me though. We have the ultimate package as well! I would love to extend our reception... I just need to talk my fiancé into it.

Ahhh! Your awesome. You look great first of all. Dress hair veil..everything! And I LOVE the idea of having my hair hold up until after my TTD shoot. Were hopefully doing the cenote the day after. I don't want him to see me before the ceremony, so we may be a bit rushed for pictures but I'm hoping it will workout ok. So glad I booked a professional photographer. The picture differences in your photos are like night and day different in terms of quality. Love them! You guys are such a cute couple. Looks like you had a great time. Did you do a package with a reception and did you bring a lot of stuff down with you?

Bea bride, I'm loving all of this info! I'm crazy type A drive people nuts I'm so organized! But I want everything to run smoothly the whole time.mill probably be getting acrylics as well as I chew my nails myself. Did your mke up nd hair hold up really well throughout the reception? My ceremony isn't until 5 so I'm going back and forth on what time to make my appt for... Congrats in your wedding! I can't wait to see some pics! There arnt a lot of Dreams Tulum brides here so I'm always dying to hear from the brides who got married here:)

Sorry for the late response! I haven't been up here. I have a family friend who is ourTA. I would be happy to pass her info along.! She is awesome. She got all the guests booked and also worked some with the resort in terms of groups promotions, which is awesome. Then the resort coordinator answers all of my wedding requests and things of that nature. You can get AirPrice estimates prob by just seeing what the price is like this year, and just comparing. Let me know if I can pass along my ta'sinfo. She is amazing. I lov using the ta because guests just have to put down a small deposit and the total amount of the trip isn't due until 90 days before we leave, works out perfect for those who are waiting on their tax return!

Hi kristie! As far as your excursion question I'll give ya some ideas of what I did on our last trip. The Tulum ruins were hands down my fav excursion we took on our last trip to Mexico. If your into that kind of stuff it makes for a great trip. It's fairly cheap too... I think like 5 or 10 pesos if you don't get the tour. Bring your swim suit! It was hot the day we went and I didn't realize you could swim there. There is a little market area outside the ruins where you can browse and buy stuff. We also did xel ha, which is like the cenote Eco park. It was fun. There's a cliff jump, cenotes, and LOTS of snorkeling. It was cool but I wouldn't go back a second time. There are additional activities like swimming with the dolphins but of course they came with extra charges. Playa del Carmen is a nice day trip as well. We stayed iN Tulum and it was like a 30 min ride. Lots of shopping mainly, bars, authentic taco stands and the like. There are also street performers and mariachi bands which adds to the experience and is really neat. This time we plan on doing Aktun Chen, which is close to Tulum. There are cenotes, zip lining, swimming and things like that there. My friend went on our last trip and she got to hold a baby monkey! I was so jealous! It should be a fun thing to do. I'd also like to check out another ruins site on this trip as well, like Coba. There are also several cenote sites in the area I'd like to check out, from what I understand the entrance fees ares pretty cheap. Hope that gives ya some ideas:D hope everyone's plans are coming together! I can't keep up with everyone's posts! It's finals time and I'm tryin my hardest to get another semester done and over with. Then I'll be back at the wedding list, I have lots left to do!
