  1. Jenny thanks for your review! Sounds like everything went pretty well except the few hiccups. Congrats! You looked gorgeous
  2. Teagan, I and was wondering, how was the timing on your music? Did you like edit the songs to certain lengths, cutting out intros? Fade in/fade out? I'm confused on this lol... I don't want the music to sound cheesy when the tech changes the song
  3. Hi kaci! i think the idea is that you use your iPod or phone... I think I remember reading that? Is this for your ceremony or reception? I know I plan on using the sound system for or ceremony and Nayeli said a technician could change songs for us that way
  4. Hi Kristin! I found this for you. Not sure the info is up to date but it might help, there are a few emails for rollers in the area:) http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/43492/cigar-rollers
  5. Hi fiddle! i don't think you'll have trouble getting in the mexico, just have it out of the box and without a price tag. Customs are any concerned with ppl reselling stuff, and the obvious guns, drugs, and explosives. Also FYI, I've heard that some brides will use the docking stations from their rooms, just be sure to bring batteries. Not sure how loud they are though...
  6. These are awesome. I love that you incorporated all the different elements of passport and message in a bottle. They are phenomenal! Don't let the diff colored ribbon bother you. I have had soooo many projects end up looking horrible, but I know how something small like that can irritate ya. Can't wait to see more of your creations!
  7. Wow these look really really great. I made my own too but they are not this intricate. These are gorgeous. I love the beads. I would def try to sell them. I like near the beach and have never seen them until I started planning my wedding.i was gonna buy some online but of course ppl wanted like 50$ a pair ...
  8. You go girl! Cause seriously I have def felt his way bout my mil PLENTY of times. Yes. I will cut you. Haha
  9. We have some vitamin string quartet songs, some Tom petty, and Cas Haley( he does a great version of "No One").Also walk off the Earth has some cool cover songs, like "I roll up. "
  10. Kristin, Not sure abut the artist, I might suggest asking the wedding coordinator, she may know someone they have used in the past. As far as wedding week activities, there's lots to do! We plan on of course seeing the TULUM ruins, been here before and I love. Coba is nearby I'd like to go there as well. Aktune Chen has zip lining and cenotes, and were also going to Dos Ojos cenote for our TTD. We will prob take a trip into Playa del Carmen one day to do some shopping too. If your budget allows I know of some brides renting private boats and having parties for all her guests, I think some have own bar options, but these a re pricey.
  11. Wow! I hadn't thought of stack suitcases inside one another. Great idea... Why didnt I think of that?!girll.... I'm a broke hoe too. Already worried about buying rings, I love my engagement ring but it doesn't like, match any wedding bands I've tried, and we have a serious budget in this area. I've been working on toning up, but not really enough. I had a baby over a year ago and I lost all the weight, but everything looks , uh, different haha. This is a major stress area for me. All my friends are in their early twenties and look fabulous. So I need to get myself together! As far as the guest book, I know you ladies were discussing it earlier. We purchased postcards from zazzle, they have pics of the Tulum ruins and other Mexico scenes. In our welcome book we asked that they fill out the postcard with marriage advice and tell us about their trip, and mail it back to us when they get back to the states, then I'll put all of them in a book.
  12. I feel behind too! We don't have rings yet. As far as decor I'm pretty much done, still have something's to buy, but I have them picked out. We just now ordered suits but our son still needs his little suit. Oot bags are done. We too had someone just drop out of the trip, not a GM but my cousin who I'm close with and we found out can't come. I think we are bringing everything in checked bags. We bought some cheap thrift store suitcases that we plan on leaving behind so we don't have to check empty bags on the way back. Shipping sounded sketchy from what a lot of women said..
  13. Does anyone recall how much the set up cost is to put tulle on the canopy? (If i bring my own) I recall reading it, but have since forgot...
  14. Wow thanks so much for posting this! There's some good info in there. The tummy issues worry me too.. In my experience it can be in case if you drink the water from the tap. I always ask for bottled.
  15. Yes, I would love their info! The only reason I think I would prefer to pick up rather than have them delivered is to avoid my resorts outside vendor fee.
  16. Great Info Lyman and Pamela. Basically stop at Walmart, if their selection is cruddy I can scoot down to one of the local floral places.
  17. Haha it's cool.l I've been so busy too I've barely been on here! I'm definelty making these ASAP though. They will be so cute as embellishments on all my projects.
  18. Yay! I've been waiting for this tutorial! You are so crafty. I love these. Think ill go get everything and make some this weekend! They would make cute hair flowers as well. Thanks so much for this!
  19. [email protected] [email protected] Here are the emails I have for doremixx. Honestly, I have them booked for our wedding, and their communication and responsiveness is lacking.
  20. Couple weeks left Jenny! You must be so excited, Can't wait to hear about everything! I want pics too!! I've got a few months left but thank goodness cause I have so much left to do!
