From what I understand shipping it down to the resort carries some risk. From what I have heard if you have items made in china they will be taxed and they are hefty fees, and I think it is expensive to actually ship them to begin with. One bride I was reading have to pay to ship the boxes back to her house which was $216, but the taxes were like 1000 or something crazy. We are checking lots of bags!

I third, my fiance doesnt show much interest in helping me, or even opinions. He has helped with some DIY projects which is great though. Pick another date out thats like a yearish away, Like DWbride2be said, and start talking about excursions and ect to get him excited. My FI got really involved picking out a suit. Im sure he will come around soon. How does his family feel about the DW?

I would say your holes were prob drilled to big. My holes were perfect, if fact glue prob wasn't necessary cause the wire fit so snug. But covering it up with a flower is a good idea! I covered up the O on my mother hanger with a sandollar and glue lol, cause it was ugly...

See..we did things a bit diff. We verbally told ppl about the wedding 16 months out, and how it would work. Our travel agent did $150 down, balance due 3 months prior to trip. Stds went out in march, with info that once the invites went out ppl had 1 month to RSVP and book(as the promo we got was only good until aug 15, but air prices didn't come out till June ) so our guests new way ahead of time that upon receiving their invite, they have 1 month to book to get the promo. We have 22 ppl going. I think there may still be a handful of ppl that are still going to book, but their prices are $100 higher and still rising with airfare.
