  1. Alright ladies I have officially finished my invitations!! I sent them out today and couldn’t wait to share them with all of you! Every bride on this site is so inspiring and I have learned so much from so many of you! So thank you for all your help because I couldn’t have made these invites without you! For our save the dates I made a luggage tag magnet and to continue the travel theme I decided on passport invitations with a boarding pass for the RSVP. I used the alyeebits template in word and let me tell you I struggled. It took me forever (it felt like) to get everything right and lined up. I worked through it and I am really happy with my result! On to the good stuff…… I used a green linen card stock paper for the cover and twine to bind it. The paper inside was a crazy find in my area……the Kelly paper store in upland, ca. I purchased a whole ream for $9! It’s a 65lb cream vellum paper, it worked great and my printer liked it too! The RSVP boarding pass is a linen metallic cream color (the pic doesn’t do it justice) It’s a beautiful paper! On the back I printed our address and put a stamp in the corner. I also perforated the end piece so the guest will tear off the “passenger receipt “ and mail the rest in as a postcard! The sleeve is a piece of scrapbook linen paper I found at Joanne's that I folded and cut. I purchased the envelopes at the same upland store they were a champagne opal color. I made the envelope seals at home they were 1 ½ inch in diameter. The finished result! I made 45 invites and I am soooo happy to cross this off the list!! Thanks for reading! Let me know if you have any questions, I am happy to help! There are so many brides that have done a wonderful job on passport invites and you have helped me so much! Thank you!!

I would love to see the video and pics here's my email for when you return! Thanks so much! [email protected] Really appreciate you sharing!!
  4. We are planning to have a signature drink at our AHR. It's going to be a margarita type drink.....we are still getting the recipe down. And having fun in the process haha!! So far it's a margarita with cactus cooler! We are going to call it "The Carlson Cooler" ......Carlson being my new last name! We thought a margarita would be cool to add the Mexican flare. The only other drinks that we plan to have at the party is beer, wine, sodas, and water. Our thought of doing the signature drink would eliminate having to do open bar. Hope this helps with more ideas!
