  1. Do you by any chance gap have a price sheet for Cheery Blossom?
  2. There is one in Playa, it's not as big as the Cancun one but I'm sure it'll have water
  3. Ugh, I guess I can't post pics? http://piperlime.gap.com/browse/product.do?cid=59969&vid=1&pid=662293022
  4. Oh man, now I'm spending my Sunday morning looking for shoes when I should be cleaning. I love those DSW shoes but also originally thought I wanted a pop of color and just found these that I love. Maybe I'll end up with both bc the first pair I could wear everyday...
  5. Ohhhhh I'm loving the DSW shoes! I might be making a trip there today to see them in person!
  6. We're bringing and extra suitcase with all our decorations and welcome bags. Not sure if we're goi to do water bottles yet but if we do we're making them to bring with us and getting them down there.
  7. I actually posted a question on another board last night related to your post MK...everyone on here talks about vista print, what do you get with them. I'm tempted to buy this (bc let's be honest, I love groupons) but I'm not sure what I'd use it for.
  8. We're staying in Mexico and the plan on doing another trip (location tbd) later in the year
  9. Omg that is hysterical! I can't even imagine what kind of fun would be had with a live donkey at a wedding!
  10. I have a similar pair of caparro shoes from Macy's that are the same color and peep toe but without the rosette. They're not for my wedding but they are so comfortable! I never ever wear heels anymore but bought them for a friends wedding this past fall with full intention of ditching them for comfy flats towards the end of the night but they never came off my feet...even after dancing all night and late night drinks at the bar after! I'm waiting for another reason to get to wear them again.
  11. I feel like from everyone's post I need to get involved with vista print but what kind of things are averyone getting printed from them??
  12. I haven't found anything yet but I want to go for a more beachy-boho look (thanks for a great way to described it!) I'm actually thinking that I might even do some color since I'm not a rhinestone/diamond/pearl girl at all! Bridesmaids are wearing navy blue dresses and I'm going to but them hot pink earrings and bracelets so I'm thinking I may do something similar for myself.
  13. We're in the same boat...we actually asked that our RSVP's be mailed back by 2/15 and that deposits are made by March 1st (even though they really don't need to be done until mid-April) but we are still waiting on more then half the RSVPs Don't people need to do some planning for a trip to Mexico? Even if they don't they should know that I need to do some planning for the wedding they're going to there!!
  14. Social worker here too...child protection worker to be exact
  15. I just sent you a pm with this exact info but then figured I should post it here too in case anyone else is looking too... So apparently gluten free hasn't hit the markert in Mexico like it has here in the states. The "bakery", Pan Libra, is actually a woman who sells her goods to different places around town and takes special orders. The woman has a Facebook page (search Pan Libra Playa Del Carmen) but doesn't have a storefront, she does all sorts of gluten free baked goods by request. Her email is [email protected]. Unless I hear of anyone else down there I'm probably just going to chance it and ask her to do a small cake for us. Here's the link to the Playa Del Carmen information board that I posted on to try to find someone down there http://www.playa.info/playa-del-carmen-forum/68500-gluten-free-bakery.html Good luck!
  16. No crazy wedding dreams for me this weekend but I think I found someone in Playa Del Carmen to make a gluten free cake for our wedding (just a small one vor several family members with a gluten intolerance). I ended up going on a playa del carmen message board and putting it out there to try to find someone. Who knows, it could be totally sketchy but right now it's my only option
  17. I love reading these p,naming journals, thanks so much for taking the time to write it and I can't wait to see pictures from the ceremony and reception!
  18. I'm exactly one month older....and he never let's me forget it
  19. That idea for the napkins is a fantastic way to bring some color to the table...I'm definitely stealing that idea!
  20. I'm not sure about dress rehearsals, from what I remember I don't think there is a real dress rehearsal at the Riu. I'm getting married at the Riu Palace Mexico in June and there isn't much info on that hotel here but there is more on the Riu Palace Riviera Maya. About RPM- if you want a private dinner and have over 50 people the ONLY restaurant that you're allowed to have for the entire night is the Mexican Restaurant. We were not told that when we booked, we were told we could have it at the Brazilian Restaurant or the Steakhouse. We have ended up going with the Steakhouse bc we didn't care for the menu at the Mexican restaurant and knew the Steakhouse would be more appealing for everyone. The problem with the steakhouse is that we've now been told that we have to chose either a 6:30 dinner time or am 8:30 dinner time. Our ceremony is at 5 and we were hoping to have the restaurant from 7-11 and even offered to pay extra for those additional hours but were told we can't. Now we're most likely going to be doing a semi private cocktail hour between the ceremony and dinner (free drinks but paid for apps) and then going to have to pay for a 2 hour private cocktail for drinks/dancing after dinner (I think she quoted me $15pp). The other option we had was for the dinner/reception on the beach but we never really wanted that to begin with. Fernanda is the wc I've been working with from the RPM and there are times when she gets right back to me with answers to my questions and other times when it takes her a week.

  22. I am so glad I'm not the only one having crazy dreams, and I don't even really consider myself a big planner or someone to stress over little things (well, I guess I was upset about the hotel renovations and the lack of communication with the WC but I wasn't even over the top and got over it all pretty quickly) I have thought about the heat, actually that was one of the reasons why I didn't end up with the dress that I really wanted (Maggie Soretta, Karena Royal) it was just to heavy. I had thought I wanted lace the whole time but then decided that I'd rather be more comfortable and able to dance with out heatstroke. I LOVE the dress I have now (its a Priscilla of Boston from her vineyard collection...she went out of business a few years ago but I was able to find the dress at the VOWS bridal outlet). Its not at all what I thought I wanted but in the end it is definitely much more me then a dress with fancy lace (did I mention my dress has pockets?!)
  23. Has anyone worked with or know of any bakeries who have gluten free cakes? My fiancé has several family members (including my FMIL) who have celiacs and I'd like to be able for them to enjoy dessert with us.
  24. yup just for pants. We are gonna check out Macy's this weekend and see what we can find there but Studio Suits seems very reasonable!
