You'll be fine and you're wedding will be beautiful!! The whole point of doing a destination wedding (for me at least) is to not sweat the small stuff!

Music? For the ceremony, cocktail hour, dinner and dancing? I've just spent some time starting it and it's a lot easier then I thought it would be. I still have a ways to go but I love music so it's definitely not as scary as a task as I thought it would be. Good Luck!

I actually emailed my mother this morning to tell her that we need to get together to figure out what we have done and what still needs to be done. I still haven't found my OOT bags but have started to buy things for them, I know that I need to still try to figure out table centerpieces. I hate that I have a ton of ideas and haven't finalized anything yet bc I still think I have a ton of time but really I don't! One thing that I really need to start focusing on is the ceremony. What are most of you girls doing for the ceremony...are you coming up with your own script? If so is there somewhere that has some suggestions as to what it should look like??

Ummmm a friend pointed out p me last night that I'm getting married in less then 4 months. I feel like just yesterday it was in San Diego calling my family to tell them I said yes (and ironically we did get engaged almost a year ago!)

Are you getting you dress altered at all? I'm wearing flat sandals and I had to have my hem shortened so wore a similar pair of sandals so she could get the length correct. My girls will also be wearing flat sandals

This is where we ordered ours from too and I had to ask my fiancé to check to make sure I was ordering actual Chapstick and it just empty tubes. Glad I'm not the only one who was confused (he thought I was being crazy!)

AllieH, did you have any problems with airport security with these components? My crazy mom thinks we'll never make it onto the plan with batteries and wires. I told her she's crazy but figured I should ask.

We chose a destination wedding because its more affordable, we wanted a smaller wedding without having to hurt anyone's feelings about not getting invited (our plan has worked perfectly, invited 200, about 60 coming!) we love to vacation with our family and friends (so why not everyone together), and I didn't want to stress ably tiny details (the beauty of the resort and its surroundings are plenty!)

Thanks! I actually found someone on another Playa Del Carmen message board that makes GF cakes and baked goods down there. She doesn't have a website but has a FB page, Pan Libre. I'll double check with my WC to see if they they have a problem with us bringing a small cake in from outside. I'm thinking that even if they say no how they stop us if we go pick it up, especially if its just a small cake or a few cupcakes. Happy Planning!
