    Got some great news today from my brother in law! He offered to download and put together all of our music for the wedding, cocktail hour and dance party as part of his gift to us. He's way into music and can expense most of whatever he downloads since he's in the industry and this is gonna save me a huge headache! Mini bachelorette party #2 this weekend (I've had 2 mini's instead of one big) and I am already dreading the hangover I'm going to wake up to Sunday morning! Only 22 more days until we leave and 13 work days left!

    We aren't having a DJ which may be one of my biggest regrets now that we need to come up with the song list. We have plenty of older dance songs but are stuck on today's hits. Suggestions anyone??

    OMG of If I hear "don't worry, it'll get done, it'll be great" one more time I may committ homocide. How exactly do all these guys not understand that things just don't get done, someone has to do them! Music for dancing is one of the last things we need to do and it's proving to be very difficult. We dot really listen to top 40 dance music but also know that almost no one coming to our wedding likes phish-like music so it's hard to find a happy medium without handing over ITunes our paycheck! "

    This is great news Stephanie! I've been in contact with them and am trying to decide between a small cake of a few cupcakes, there are 3 people who have celiacs coming so I'm kinda leaning towards cupcakes. What type of cake did you get and how was it decorated? I'm waiting for an email back from Raquel now.

    My plan for this weekend is to go thru everything I've accumulated, go over my long neglected lists and check things off that have been competed and rework a few things that I've decided to ditch, and ,are some reckons around actually bringing down all the small candles and votives that I had initially bought with the intention of using on the dinner tables. I've gotten a bad case of the F'its recently and don't want to bring down a ton of decor stuff...I think I'd rather chance it, spend a short visit to Walmart the first day we're there (we get to Mexico Saturday at noon and our weddings not till Thursday) and see if I can get some stuff there., and if not OH WELL!! I'm m getting super excited to do sme returning/exchanging of shower gifts and also doing so clothes shopping this weekend too!

    Got our wedding bands tonight! He said he wanted something "cheap", I went in with a loose budget wanting to see what looked best with my ring (three stone round brilliant). Well what do you know, what I liked best with my bling was a simple thin white gold band which was inexpensive and I. The end his cost much more then mine! He will not live this down for quite a while haha!

    The stress will be worth it in the end (or the beginning!) in 2 weeks so at least there's an end to the stress in the very near future!

    I was thinking about asking the hotel if they had a basket that I could borrow and pretty-up with some ribbon for the cards, that way their not just thrown onto the table out in the open. I'm also putting a family member in charge of removing and putting them into a room safe before the end of the night when things tend to get blurry

    Natalie, my fiancé looked at me like I had 10 heads when I had asked him about gifts for each other the day of! I think I might just get him a card from here http://www.notonthehighstreet.com/rubywren/product/personalised-days-i-ve-loved-you-card and maybe a tie clip since every time he wears a tie (which is basically just at weddings and funerals!) he mentions that he needs to get one but I know it's not something he'll ever buy himself. I'm also thinking grey pants and white button downs like the groomsmen for the dads, nothing fancy since they're both also very much jeans and T's dads

    My mom loves jewelry from Na Hoku. It's all Hawaiian jewelry but has an island flavor that would be great for any destination wedding. If we end up getting our parents something besides the photobook I'd probably get my mom, MIL something like a necklace from there

    Question for you ladies...we finally got the grooms and groomsmen their outfits this weekend, white long sleeved linen shirt with tie for the groom and short sleeved white line shirt for the men (no tie) they're all wearing these pants http://www1.macys.com/shop/product/inc-international-concepts-pants-albert-linen-pants?ID=810402&CategoryID=89&LinkType=#fn=BRAND%3DINC%20International%20Concepts%26sp%3D1%26spc%3D25%26ruleId%3D13%26slotId%3D8 My question if about the dads...what are your fathers/stepfathers and soon to be FIL's wearing?? I know they can wear whatever but traditionally...do they dress like the groomsmen, or should they wear a tie (maybe different but similar to the grooms?). Should I have them wear gray pants also? I'm more thinking how will the formal pictures look...

    We're giving each set of parents them a really nice wedding photobook as their gift but I feel like we need to get them something small and tangible also. But I'm at a loss as to what amd my fiancé is useless in this department

    Where did you get your chunky necklaces from for your girls? I've been looling on Etsy for chunky fuschia/pink necklaces but haven't really seen anything that I love yet? My girls are getting, beach bags (etsy) clutches (TJ Maxx) necklaces and bracelets (TBD) Sunglasses and sandals that they're wearing for the wedding and I'm paying for them to get their hair done. I only have my two sisters and was trying to keep it at about $100 a piece but I'm over already, oh well!

    Thanks! I wanted so badly to tie in something a little fun into my "outfit" since my dress is silk with no real embellishments. I've been searching high and low for bracelets like this and finally found them! My vote is color!! I also have fuschia sandals under my long dress for another pop of fun!

    I bought my jewlery and shoes yesterday (this is the third and final pair of shoes...I'm making myself stop looking!) . I loooooove my bracelets and its gonna be tough not wearing them for the next 2 months. These pictures really don't so them justice bc they sparkle so much in person!

    I placed 2 seperate orders for a total of 70 maracas and haven't had any problems. I think maybe less then 5 out of all of them had any marks so I decided just to deal with it. They did mistakenly send me light blue instead of bright blue so when I thought that was the case I asked them to send me samples of them both which they did with no problem. Seeing the two blues side by side and how similar they were I decided to just keep the light blue rather then waste time, money and resources. I've had great dealings with them

    Great on on your script Meggam, I'm jealous that yours is done. I wish someone would just write my ceremony script for me...I've be working on it and tweaking parts here and there but it is definitely not one of my fave parts of wedding planning. Part of me wants to just let the officiant say whatever and part of me wants it to be more personal/meaningful. Meggam quick question for you...I sent you an email last week to your personal email just as a follow up to something, did you by chance get it?

    Things got real in my wedding world this weekend, I had my mini-bachelorette party and my shower...My friends and family are amazing and I am completely overwhelmed by the generosity and love from everyone (and my house looks like disaster of boxes, gifts and goodies everywhere, oy vey)
