I've also used Carmen's Stitches (Adriana's mom) for alterations on a bridesmaids dress. Her prices are pretty reasonable and I had zero issues with the dress but I recommend being very clear when explaining what you want. I will probably use her for my wedding dress for small alterations. She is located in Country Hills area.
I am booking with Suzanne Morel as well and paying for my BM's hair as their gift. I agree Aynat, I want to look back at pictures and not cringe and regret not paying extra.
I thought I'd let everyone on here know about Novia Mia bridal shop in the NW. The owner Adriana is amazing! I had been to her place a few times before with friends that were getting married. All of her dresses are under $1500 and completely custom. There are no other bridal stores that offer custom gowns at no additional cost. The dresses are made to your measurements, and if you want to change anything about dress you can. I mentioned to Adriana that I was going to buy a cheap "trash dress" and she let me know that she had a few gowns on sale for $99. I got a beautiful lace gown for $99! The service you will receive at Novia Mia is exceptional and you cannot go wrong with a custom wedding dress under $1500!
Before I started planning I wanted to stay around $10,000 until I realized the cost of everything. Now I'm hoping to keep it under $18,000. This includes everything, attire, reception cost, decorations, photographer our 2 week stay at the resort.
It depends on what menu (buffet or plated) and type of reception (private vs non private) you chose. I was quoted an additional per person charge of $20 for cake, champagne and set up.
I recently got eyelash extensions for a friends wedding. They were hell to have put on, it took over 2 hours and my eyes watered and were irritated the entire day. When I took out my contacts that evening they continued to water for another hour or two. I found them to be heavy but eventually got used to the weight of them once a few fell out. I had issues with my own eye lashes shedding, getting stuck and attached to the extensions then scratching my eye. I had to cut off clumps of the extensions to stop the scratching from eye. I loved them for about 2 weeks then they started to get sparse and look ridiculous. I eventually removed them myself with baby oil and my lashes were very uneven. They are just starting to grow back and not look so patchy. I'm now debating whether or not to get them again or just go with fake ones for my wedding in May.
