  1. So question to anyone who knows anything about the path to the Tulum Gazebo, I'm slowly checking out shoes and was wondering if there was any sand on the path. I remember tiles and stuff to the Tequila restaurant but memomy is failing me. Thank you!
  2. You are my hero. Thank you! Now will have to look at this from a Canadian point of view aka not get screwed by shipping/taxes/duty. They look fabulous!
  3. For those wondering re: veggie meals, I'm pretty sure that they can do a veggie plate for the veggies in your group. Can't remember where I saw this info but they didn't have to chose a veggie plate in order for the veggie people. Too many times the word veggie in this post, excuse my preggo brain!
  4. You need to hit 150 posts before you can download documents. Happy posting!
  5. It depends if your group is more than 30 people. More than 30, you get one choice, less than 30 you get two choices off the menu and you have to decide in advance.
  6. Oh my! Your bags are amazing! Do you mind sharing what/where you bought stuff and a price breakdown?
  7. www.linentablecloth.com is having a 20% sitewide sale + free 10-14 day shipping to Canada. Thought I'd pass it along as this is the best deal I've seen so far. Unless someone's seen better?
  8. Agree with Trisha, I've been to the Bahia Principe Coba twice already with kids and it was great!
  9. Knitting the garter!! OF COURSE! I should've thought of that being an extreme knitter! Thanks for the idea!
  10. My first e-mails were to groupsmx. I think it's insanely busy this time of year and that they might be on holidays. I'm pretty sure it goes through management before the actual wedding planner.
  11. That does look very very pretty, but kinda wonder if the rings won't fall in the water while walking? I'm doing a pirate type trunk (about 3 x 5 inches), I'll paint it in a vintage type color and line it with eggplant velour (one of my wedding colors). Haven't done it yet but will post pics when done!
  12. I confirmed my restaurant 2 weeks ago I think and I'm getting married beginning of August.
  13. Well, it really depends on your priorities. Most brides spend less on their gowns because they tend to chose smaller ones (less pouff). You don't have to spend as much on decorations cause palm trees are pretty cool! As for receptions being shorter, yes 1h is quite short, you sure thats not the ceremony? Our reception will be 3hours plus the time for dinner. But also, remember you're spending the week with people so you don't need as much time to mingle. Ya got the plane for that.. hahahha The photographer, that also depends on which resort you chose, what the local ones cost, etc.
  14. I'd love to give a go at a DIY something like this but I have no idea where to get "heads" like this?? anyone have any ideas?
  15. Wow! you're on a roll! Good for you! Yes 2013 will be quite exciting and insanely busy! We don't have bridesmaids or GM so one less thing to worry about.
  16. Huh... everything?? hahaha no.. this is what is done: choosing venue, booking, sent invites, got answers, some people put deposits, dress bought, restaurant & menu chosen (the wedding coordinator from the hotel sent me the e-mail so it was easy to answer back.. had she not sent it yet, it wouldn't have been done..), colors chosen. These days we are doing decision making: flower girl dresses, FI suit color, centerpieces & decorations overall. I think I found most of the suppliers I will be using online, I signed up for the newsletters and such to wait for the good deals to come out. we're having a baby sometime in May so I'm hoping to get most stuff done before he/she arrives cuz I doubt I'll have the time/energy to do that stuff afterwards! What about you?
  17. Good! I'll wait a bit before asking Maria, but it's nice to know what I can expect!
  18. Awww!!! Amazing!!! Welcome back and congrats on being a Mrs!! I know you were looking for a cenote to take your pics at a while so I'm curious, where did you end up going? Good luck with the laundry!
  19. This is my inspiration for my two daughters who will be 11 yo and 20 months. I found some youtube tutorials and they're pretty easy to make so I'll do that. Might make it in a skirt for my older one, not sure yet! My wedding colors are eggplant & silver with a touch of lime.
  20. hmm did you contact maggie sottero directly? Maybe they would know if anyone still carries it? Also, I know it's in Montreal but they do sell online and have 1 or 2 dresses that ressembles yours, maybe worth a try http://www.ouijelevoeux.com/fr/robe_de_mariee.asp?NoCat=15&Page=2 And maybe you could try other dresses.. I thought I knew what I wanted but I have to say I fell in love with something completely different once it was one me. Good luck, dress searching is not easy!!
  21. Ok so just went through the catalog. So questions if anyone can answer them. I really like gerbera daisies but I was thinking of getting more of a purple/plum bouquet. Does anyone know if I can get that in my included bouquet? And I saw your green hyndrangeas Trisha, I know you had those in your bridesmaid bouquet but I'd like them in mine, do you think they would be included? Thank you!
  22. Figured it would only be fitting that I'd post my 150th post here! WOOHOO!
