  1. Rrpc51`- good for you! I hope things go well and that you can concentrate on your wedding afterwards! Carlota - Seems that you're on a roll!! We share our wedding date! I'm into the finicky stuff, little details here and there. Hard to do with young kids but as soon as I get them to bed I go into bridal mode! haha. These days I'm working on my dance mix. I've got all the songs I want but I'm trying to get to play smoothly... hahaha feeling like a DJ!
  2. Question re: music during ceremony. So 1 song for my ring bearer and flower girls (one toddler in there, she'll take forever.. hahah), 1 song for me, 1 song for signing, 1 song for walking back down the isle. But the song for people sitting, I'm thinking one isn't enough??
  3. So August ladies! getting close here!! where's everyone at in their preps??
  4. Oh I was thinking about you!!!!! Congrats Mrs! Can't wait to read your review and see your pictures xx
  5. So I'm sure I've seen the answer for this before but I can't find it and the kids aren't letting me do much searching! The wedding dinner counts for one "a la carte" for our guests right? What about bride & groom? Thank you ladies!
  6. Just thought I'd share th info I just got re: receptions by the pool. Trisha, I dunno if you want to add this to the Official board. National Bar: Beer, Rum, Vodka, Tequila, Cocktails, Gin, Whisky $1900 USD Special Cocktails: Beer, Piña Colada Cocktail, Margarita Cocktail & Sparkling Wine $1100 USD This option is for 30 persons maximum , in case there´s more people will have an extra charge. This packages includes 3 hours of open bar, set up, soft lighting, cocktail tables, tiffany chairs microphone and music. (so this includes DJ). Special Cocktails without DJ but with Speakers so we can play our own music: 585 USD
  7. Yes! I think they need to be booked for 4 or 5 days. Trisha could answer with more accurity but a definite yes if it's for the duration of your trip.
  8. I found them two weeks ago and now they are getting dyed. Should pick them up this week. I am finishing up the flower girls dresses (for my 3 daughters), have to finish up the cake topper. Then I'll have to do my jewelry although I've got all my beads. Still trying to find a reasonable deal on hand fans (being in Canada is making this very difficult!) and I'd like to put ribbon on them. Working on getting my maracas painted in Mexico and then I think thats it!
  9. Just thought I'd announce it here.. Violet was born last night after a very short labor in the comfort of our home! 6lbs 8 oz,perfect and healthy!
  10. Ah thank you! I knew I wasn't crazy! I emailed them yesterday.. we'll see what they say. Good call on the pics, I'll have a look. Thanks for answering!
  11. Read the previous posts, you will find many couples who've used them, you'll even see some pics!
  12. Question, so I've ordered the swatches of tropical linen and hawaiin linen. I'm almost certain I've seen hawaiin gray before but it wasn't in the swatches. The only gray was the tropical one and it was quite darker than what we had envisioned. Anyone know??
  13. Trisha has some beautiful pics at the hacienda if you check out her website!
  14. Thanks Trisha! We're expecting "Monster". haha.. we didn't ask what the sex was, we liked the surprise last time so going for that again. We're actually pretty granola (I'm a midwife) and are having a homebirth. I'll be sure to report what "Monster" is So personal vows/sand ceremony and then signing I guess?
  15. oooo pinata!! what a great and fun idea!
  16. By interesting you mean, how the hell am I gonna be ready for the wedding & fit into my dress 3 months after having a baby + the 18 month old and 11 year old I already have?? I'm considering resorting to alcool.
  17. To those who got legally married in Mexico, how does the ceremony actually work? Is it in spanish? Does someone translate? Do we say our vowes in spanish? Can we say our own vowes? Can I say them in French? LOL Giving birth soon, I'm in a nesting process...
  18. Come to think of it, there was always a little corner of the buffet that had mexican food. And I can't remember but different buffet probably have different schedule so not everyone has mexican night on the same night.
  19. I can help you with the Mexican food. They have one a la carte Restaurant (The Tequila) that is a Mexican restaurant, and the buffets have mexican night at least once a week.
  20. Can't help you with the reception/booze part but the pool is surrounded by trees/bushes so no one really walks by unless they want to cut through the pool. The main path is *that* close that you would notice people walking by. IMO it's pretty private.
