  2. Hey Denise, If you read the Romance Contract that the Paradisus has sent you, the information about the wavied outside photographer fee is in the Outside Vendor Services section Which photographer are you planning to go with? When is your wedding? Hope this helps!
  3. Its in the contract, that if you pay for a three night stay for an outside photographer the fee would be waived. So i checked the website and its about $750 for a 3 night stay...better than $1000USD but I'm willing to pay it to make sure I get some awesome photos!!
  4. Hey Lori, I did some research and decided to book with HDC instead. They offer more in their packages for around the same price. They are ranked as #1 in wedding photography and Arrecife is ranked #33. Tamir was great with answering my questions, but I really trust the reviews and feedback on this forum!

  6. I see that you're getting married in January!! It's getting pretty close...what did photographer did you decide to go with?? You can waive the $1000 fee if you want to use an outside photographer by paying for a 3 night stay for them. It's in the contract and I've confirmed that with my wedding planner in Miami. So it might be cheaper to pay to pay the 3 nights than pay the $1000!
  7. Hi Mariel, My wedding is a year from today and I've already started looking at invitations! When I was getting quotes for pocket invitations with an rsvp/information card, it was getting a little pricey. So I decided I was gonna use the knot.com to make a wedding website with all the information related to the wedding, including the RSVP (an email notification is sent to me when anyone rsvps). It was more cost effective for me and will save some trees So I went with a much simpler invite with was half the cost.   8. Hey LoriOlivia! I also thought later in the day would be better so I confirmed my ceremony for 4 pm as well I'm thinking about going with the resort photographer (Arrecife) because they know where all the best spots are for pictures and also the best for sunset pictures. Have you confirmed with the resort photographer? I've been in contact with them and they have been great with responding quickly to my emails.
  9. Hey ladies, I have a confirmed date of November 19, 2013 but I still need to confirm my wedding ceremony time. I originally wanted 3pm but I think I want it for 4 or 5pm so we can have pictures at sunset. Also, i hope that it won't be so hot later in the day...what do you girls suggest?
  10. I'm so glad that your wedding turned out so amazing!!! Just wondering if you used Arrecife studio as your photographer...and if you did, what did you think of them? I'm debating on whether to use them or use a different photographer...any input would help! Thanks
  11. That's great! Your big day is coming up pretty quick! What did you decide for your ceremony and reception?? I was thinking of the doing the seaside gazebo for the ceremony, but not sure about the reception yet....I was looking at the picasa online album and didn't see pictures of all the locations...

I'm planning to do my wedding at the PPC and just read the contract last night...this is what it said about outside vendors...not sure if its the same for all paradisus resorts: Outside Vendor Services Paradisus Resorts has on-site support for all your needs and will provide our couples with a variety of in-house services to choose from {photography/ videography, florists, décor, audio visual companies, entertainers, etc.}. A price list is available for your reference and you may contact their representatives directly. Paradisus Punta Cana will invoice you directly for those rental items. If you wish to bring your own vendor there is fee of a thousand dollars {USD$1.000} per every outside vendor plus a day pass fee per crew member. This fee is waived for foreign/U.S. photographers/videographers when staying at the hotel as a part of the Wedding Group for three or more nights. A list of all external and rented audio visual equipment should be registered with the Resort security department. The non-compliance of this procedure will indemnify the Resort of any loss or theft of such equipment. So I'm assuming the fee is waived when you bring your own photographer from the USA/canada etc and not another photographer from punta cana (hdc, photosouvenir). If this is the case I might just bring my friend down with us because she is a photographer and she's already done our engagement photos. EV is your photographer from the USA or Punta Cana?
  18. Can you get around this ridiculous $1000 fee for an outside photographer? HELP! it seems a it extreme, wasn't a fan of their TTD sessions either....

  20. hey Suzhen, I thought that the palma real didn't have the gazebo as an option for the ceremony which is why i was considering the paradisus punta cana..i'd much rather get married at the palma real so if they can make this happen i'm totally gonna go with the palma real!
  21. Hello beautiful brides, I just got engaged this past July 1!!! My fiancee and i are torn between this resort and Dreams Palm Beach. We are planning to have our wedding in November 2013. My travel agent can't give us group rates/flight schedules until dec/january since its over a year in advance. Do you ladies suggest that I contact the wedding coordinator at the resort and book a date (I'm assuming they get booked fast) before my travel agent knows the details or should I just wait it out? Any advice or suggestions would be greatly appreciated Also if anyone has been to Dreams Palm Beach and wants to give me a review that would be awesome too! Thanks a bunch ladies!
  22. Hello beauiful brides, I just got engaged July 1!!! ! Woo hoo! We are planning our wedding for November 2013 and are torn between this resort and Dreams Palm Beach...since the wedding is over a year in advance, my travel agent can't give me group rates or have the flight schedules til dec/jan 2013. It's killing me to not be able to set a date and I'm assuming since this is a beautiful and luxurious resort that dates get booked fast...so my question is, should I contact a wedding coordinator myself and book a date before my travel agent knows the details or wait until dec/jan for the flight schedule? And does anyone know how much the deposit is? Any help from brides who have been married there or are still planning the wedding would be greatly appreciated!!! Thanks a bunch ladies
