    Sounds like everyone has good ideas. I think the key is just making sure people know that they are welcome to attend as many events as they want to, with no pressure on the optional things. We just felt like people were spending a lot to be there, and since it isn't all inclusive, we wanted to take care of them as much as possible. Thanks for the compliments on the RSVP cards!

    No it doesn't have SPF. Would def be better if it did but for the price I just went with it. I'll send you the template on Monday - good for sizing even if you don't like the design!

    I didn't have any trouble at all. I don't have the template on this computer but I can send you what I used on Monday if you want. I just did a couple of test runs on plain paper, then lined that up with the labels I bought to make sure it all fit right. And I bought an extra sheet or 2 of labels in case I messed up.

    I forgot to say that we had people RSVP to each individual event. Here's what our RSVP cards look like.

    I think that sounds like a nice plan! We're not all inclusive either, and most people will only be coming for a long weekend. Here's our schedule, and I did post it on our website. I'm also sending out a pretravel brochure that has an itinerary. Fri - happy hour on the beach (we're having bartenders come in with a bar and make drinks in fresh coconuts and local beer), then a bus will pick everyone up and take us all to the rehearsal dinner. Sat - wedding and reception Sun - champagne brunch And I also put ideas for activities on our website and brochure. There's no way we could have added another event - besides the fact that our budget is pretty stretched to the max, I think people enjoy having a little time to themselves!

    No you can buy individuals! I bought 100. In the dropdown box for quantity, there's an option for "single lip balm for .28 per unit". And the chapstick is good quality. I just got the original flavor since flavored ones can be so hit or miss. It still has a slight taste, but I like it pretty well. Pretty good price too!

    Thanks for the tips! After thinking about this a little more, I think I may do those cute, tiny messages in a bottle as escort cards and leave my place cards as is. Why not?

    We're not - here's what the place cards are going to look like (this one is bad because it was a practice one, and I haven't taken any other pics yet but you get the idea!). The names will be written on the round capiz shells. So originally I wanted to have the capiz shells in a tray full of sand as escort cards - and I may still do some version of that - but it was going to be a nightmare trying to get people to put them in the candle holders, and I thought that seemed weird. I was thinking I'd have 2 copies of the list and display them in large frames. But I may go back to an escort card if I can't come up with a good solution.

    Our guests will be ordering when they sit down, so we don't have the meal choice issue, but here's my plan. Instead of a seating chart, I'm just going to have a list, in alphabetical order by table. So: Table 1: Mr. and Mrs. Jane Doe Mr. and Mrs. John Smith Table 2: Mr. and Mrs. Allen Mr. and Mrs. Whatever And then they will have to find their seat at that table, where I will have place cards. No clue if this is the "preferred" method, but I just think it's the easiest, cleanest way to do it.

    Did you send your RSVPs with forever stamps or with priced ones? If they were forever you're fine (that's all I ever buy these days), but if not I think they will just come to you postage due, if your guests don't realize ahead of time and add a 1 cent stamp.

    @ MK0386 cute numbers! We're doing the submerged calla lilies. I still think they're too expensive (we have rectangular tables, and with one vase in the center and 2 smaller ones (one on each side), it's USD $62.50 per table). But unless we want to lug vases there (we don't), it's the best we could do! For our cocktail hour, we're doing vases with a candle, sand, and shells, and those are only about $20 each, so maybe ask about those if you're okay with them?

    I ordered my chapstick and the labels from www.bulkapothecary.com and they were really easy. I printed them at work, but only because I don't have a printer at home. Just did a couple of test pages to make sure they were lined up right and they worked great!     How's your planning going? Have you started to get RSVPs yet? Ours are just barely starting to come in and I can't wait to find out how many we'll have.
