  1. One of my best friends got married in Savannah (her hometown) in 2010. The ceremony was on the square (no clue if I said that right!) and the reception was at Olde Pink House. The food was wonderful. They didn't have a band or DJ, just a nice dinner, cake cutting, toasts, etc. I thought it was lovely. I was a bridesmaid and helped with some pre-wedding things at Olde Pink House and found them to be very helpful and accomodating. Hope that helps!
  2. Here are some, but only in orange and green. http://www.beachwedlockinvitations.com/beach-wedding-invitations-beach-invitations-beach-chair-invitations-several-colorsbrsale-14790-p-1060.html?osCsid=ff4e774c8b0957a3adec0ea0c14f4658 and here's another site. http://www.invitationconsultants.com/invitation.aspx?p_invitationitem=te9168208&utm_term=te9168208&utm_medium=affiliate&utm_source=cj&utm_campaign=cj-product
  3. I'm already panicking about the size of my hoard and it's still 10 months away! We have a very small one bedroom apartment, so I have to find some way to keep it in check. Haha.
  4. Here's my save the date! Printed with Vistaprint, then assembled by me. I used some really great wood working tool to punch the hole, then just stuck a regular cocktail umbrella in it. Taped to the back with packing tape. Guests have started getting them and really like them - yay! (I definitely already posted these in the DIY forum but I wanted to play on this thread too!)
  5. $4.99 and if you're ordering a lot, you can still get the 10% or 15% discount! http://www.shopbubba.com/p-112-bubba-18-oz-tumbler-classic-slate-gray.aspx
  6. Ok let's talk about this. Juliette said I'm welcome to ship things to her, but that there will be a shipping and landing fee, and that duty may be required as well, which would be added to my invoice. FedEx quoted me $430 to ship a 50 lb box...not too keen on paying that + extra fees. I wish I knew of a way to estimate what all of that would be, but I'm clueless. Anyway, I would gladly split or somehow divide up the cost of some of these things if we can make it work. Since we're both using Juliette it seems like it's possible! I want something for shoes too - I was thinking about buying a sign on etsy or making one myself but am open to whatever.
  7. I'm not help on the spots, but I just wanted to say that Juliette has already been a savior for me. I absolutely love her and I think you will too!
  8. I'm going with flower in the hair rather than veil, as I'm worried about the breeze making it go nuts. Your dress is gorgeous and I don't think you can go wrong either way!
  9. Congrats on the big purchase! I bought mine about 11 months in advance (off the rack), and it's so hard not to show FI! I want to look at it all the time.
  10. I bought my dress about 11 months in advance, even though it was a sample and will need very few alterations. I found it and didn't want to pass it up!
  11. I really don't think it's a big deal. I've seen it done so many different ways - whatever works for you!
  12. I don't think you can go wrong either way. I see it from both sides, but at the end of the day you have to do what works for you!
  13. I don't know, but have you checked with your coordinator if you have one? Also, just an idea - if you have anything left over post wedding that you don't want to take with you, let me know because I could possibly buy from you and have my coordinator pick it up. Let us know what you find out on the sign - sorry I'm not more helpful!
  14. That's great news! I've been really happy with them, too - much to my surprise!
  15. Yeah I will probably end up bringing some extra and letting my family and a couple of close friends help! FI is just in the "I'm willing to pay extra to get it out of the way in advance" camp, so I'm trying to balance that. It seems ridiculous to pay hundreds of dollars even if it does make the actual trip a little easier! Especially if people are willing to help!
  16. I wouldn't mind doing that, but 70 bubba tumblers alone will be 50 lbs and take up at least one huge suitcase. We live in NYC so just getting them to the airport in a cab will be a challenge with all our other luggage. I do have some friends who offered to help, and I may take them up on that!
  17. I'm probably looking at the wrong thing, but were they $7 each? http://www.specialistid.com/Witz_Clear_See_it_Safe_Waterproof_Holder_p/00411seeitsafeclear.htm I really want something like this but that's way out of my price range!
