    I think my parents (Dad) will still want to do a speech at the reception. I'm from TX, and even though it's a DW, traditions die hard! Haha. Since my parents are "hosting", I'm sure they will want to say welcome, thank you for coming, etc.

    I was looking for this thread when I made some changes to my website and couldn't find it! But now that I have, here's what I settled on: If you're here, you are among our nearest and dearest and we would love to have you at our marriage celebration. We know, however, that making such a trip isn't feasible for everyone, and completely understand if you can't make it. While we sincerely hope you can join us in Grand Cayman, if you can't, we know you are there in spirit and appreciate your love and support all the same!

    This is hard. I think I'd just try to ask on an individual basis rather than sending out something formal, but that's just me. Starting with the people I'm closest with. People don't understand that this stuff needs to be booked ASAP. Even FI's parents seem to think we have until March to book for our June wedding...even though our room block is only held until March 22. That means it's a DEADLINE not a time to start thinking about it! It's tough for those of us who are turbo on top of deadlines. Good luck!

    What a bummer. You're doing the right thing though. Chin up! You only get married ONCE, and it's his decision - if his mind is made up, that's on him. You should still get your dream wedding!

    Anyone who wants to put these in OOT bags: Bed Bath and Beyond sells the little trial size 4 packs of these in the travel section - I think I paid $1.19 for each 4 pack, or .30 each. minimus.biz has them for .36 each, but this is even better! I'm just going to open each pack and put 2 in each bag.

    I haven't started my hangers yet (can't WAIT to dig in to the project tonight!) but I did get the materials. For anyone wondering/concerned, I bought the 12 gauge aluminum wire as philanab (OP) suggested, and it's a lot easier to work with/bend than I expected. I'll post pics when I'm done - so glad this thread is here!

    I think my future MIL is feeling pressure to invite all guests just because the only destination wedding she's ever attended was in Italy, and cost wasn't a concern for the bride's family, so they did include everyone. But it doesn't sound like that's the norm, especially for 100 guests! We're not staying at an all inclusive, and our resort doesn't offer packages, so anything we do adds up very quickly. I love what you're decided to do though - I think that's perfect. Thanks for the info and happy planning to you!

    I think I've gotten back with everyone - please let me know if not! $5.15 unless you're in the NYC area (which lets me choose a $5.04 regional box) for 25 bags - and I actually think I can get 50 in there too, probably.

    Hi there, sorry for the delay! I think for 25 bags a small USPS flat rate box is the best bet, and that's $5.15. How many did you need?

    Hey you guys, I'm having technical difficulties here (I don't know if it's slow internet or usps.com or WHAT!) but am rushing to leave town for a wedding.
