  1. Update for those of you who have inquired; I have 100 bags left to sell. Thanks!
  2. Thanks elissae! Yours are adorable!!! Yes this was super fun - one of my favorite projects so far, surprisingly!
  3. Here's a totally DIY tutorial I ran across if you don't want to buy the iron ons pre made! http://kayemgiweds.wordpress.com/2012/09/03/diy-rhinestone-bride-tank/
  4. I have a 5 year old niece (flower girl!) who I would never exclude from my wedding, and FI has 2 young cousins (8 and 6 I believe). Other than that, I'd really prefer not to have kids. This might sound tacky, but we're trying to keep it small, and if I can't invite some friends that I ended up excluding, I don't want to be paying for my friends' kids either. I'm planning to leave their names off of invitations and hopefully it will be clear. Most of my friends' kids are still very young (3 and under), and the parents want the time away anyway. That said, if someone asks if they can bring their kids, I won't say no. Just hoping people will take the hint. But if they don't and they're traveling that far to come to my wedding, I'm not going to tell them they can't bring their kid(s).
  5. I just have my sister (and my niece as flower girl). Thinking we will just take their family on an excursion, and of course I will get their jewelry.
  6. I probably already said this, but I seriously love your bags!
  7. I made mine last night and really like the way they turned out! Silly but cute! I made the bride and groom starfish in power point - I didn't know this until yesterday, but you can "ungroup" clip art and take bits and pieces from several different ones to make your own new one. Just right click on an inserted clip art, click ungroup, then you can move, delete, recolor, etc. as you wish. I did that, then once I had it like I wanted, I highlighted the new picture and clicked save as picture. Then I went into word to make my labels (custom labels, as the ones I used weren't avery or any brand I know of) and inserted my picture. I bought the blank chapstick and blank labels from bulkapothecary.com. I think I ended up paying around $50 for 100 chapsticks and 108 labels (the ones I bought come in sheets of 12), which are really great, including $10 shipping. They don't smudge at all and are pretty easy to put on. They even have a perforated edge so the tubes are sort of sealed. I'd definitely order from them again. Very reasonably priced and everything arrived in less than a week.
  8. Here are my DIY barefoot sandals! They match the necklace I'll be wearing (kind of). Still need to make some for my sister and niece.
  9. I thought the hardest part was making the letters small enough. That, and my new last name starts with a V, which didn't come out very well. I think I'll go with Bride instead. My flower girl one turned out pretty good on my 2nd attempt though! Still haven't posted pictures because they don't have all the finishing touches.
  10. Forgot to add - FI's family wants to do something nice for the rehearsal dinner, so it will probably just end up being wedding party and family. But I'm hoping maybe we can work something out for a bonfire on the beach for after dinner. Maybe have smores and make it BYOB (there's a liquor store across the street) just to spend a little time together and get to know each other.
  11. Things are moving along nicely for me! How about for you? Enjoy your gown shopping - so fun! Regarding the welcome party, I'd really love to do one, but my family is paying for the entire wedding and we can't add that to the budget (our resort is not AI). I was hoping FI's family would choose something like that instead of a rehearsal dinner, but it doesn't sound like it will happen. We're expecting close to 100 guests, so incremental expenses add up really fast.
  12. I bought them on ebay in a lot of 500...which thrilled FI since we now have a huge box in the corner of our apartment. Haha. I keep telling him I'm working on reducing it!
  13. Oh wow good to know for collecting other OOT bag items! Thanks!
  14. Yes I still have some! I can sell you 36. It would be $9 + shipping, which has been running about $5-6. PM me your paypal email address if you'd like to buy and I'll send you an invoice. Thank you!
