  1. Our invitation is going to say 5:30. My planner suggested 6pm vows so we could have a shot at some sunset pictures (and sunset will be great for the guests at cocktail hour, too). So we're having them arrive at 5:30, groom, etc, will come about 5:40, and the rest will follow. Our ceremony won't be very long, so we'll probably be done by 6:15.
  2. We originally thought 60-75 and now it looks like about 100. So hard to know though until people have actually booked.
  3. Don't mind at all, glad someone else can use it! This site is all about the sharing!
  4. Kristin everything was beautiful! I can't wait to see more!
  5. That's right! Something I've realized through this process is that while it's really hard to keep total cost down, it's a lot easier to make trade offs. Like one less round of stamps for a nicer invitation.
  6. I think that seems like a good solution. We sent out STDs with no RSVP to everyone, and are sending formal invitations with multiple items on one RSVP card (our resort is not AI, and we're doing a Fri night happy hour and dinner, sat wedding/reception, sun champagne brunch so we need head counts on everything). I don't see any reason you couldn't include AHR RSVP on the same card.
  7. I'm doing exactly what you described - just having my sister as MOH and FI is having his best friend as BM, and we have his cousins as ring bearers (2 of them) and my niece as flower girl. We will probably have his sisters do readings just to include them, but that's it. I think, especially for a destination wedding, if you explain it and emphasize that you want to reduce their expenses (no dress, shoes, hair, etc), they will be fine with it.
  8. I feel so much better knowing there are other people going crazy other than me!
  9. Waiting for people to book is driving me CRAZY. I'm so impatient. I went ahead and started buying for my OOT bags, just because 1. I am really type A and needed to check some of the stuff off my list, and 2. I have a huge professional exam 3 weeks before my wedding, so I really need to be finished with as much as possible by like February. Also didn't want to be left with the entire expense at once. So here's what I did: I have a spreadsheet with my guest list, then whether or not they are likely to show, and whether or not they are likely to bring someone. I'm basing my welcome bags on that #, which I'm calling "likely to show". I could definitely be off, but from what I've heard, the # of people you think will come and back out kind of evens out the # you think won't come and do. It's gamble but oh well. I've made 56 bags (we sewed the bags), and I don't have the materials to make more, so I'll have to make that # work. We're planning on about 100 people. If it gets bigger than 105 we have a problem. Haha. I can't WAIT to get invitations out mid January so I can start getting replies. A lot of my close friends (ones I already knew were coming) have started asking if they should put down deposits and booking flights. The answer is an enthusiastic YES!
  10. The place I went let you try them on. It was just a sample...never worn, altered, anything. It also happened to fit me like a glove right off the rack. Probably won't need any alterations at all other than the hem.
  11. I used them for save the dates and a couple of other things and have had no issues whatsoever. But man that sounds frustrating. I have another groupon to use - I hope it goes ok next time! Anyway sorry you had that happen!
  12. Well we have the beachfront condos at Caribbean Club, which means we can host something on the beach, so I'm thinking we might as well take advantage of that. I will definitely let you know what I get on rentals. Juliette said she would have something to me this week. Oooh keep us posted on when RSVPs start rolling in. That time between sending out invitations and getting RSVPs back is going to drive me crazy, I just know it.
  13. There's a huge thread on everything you can do with vistaprint! Here you go. http://www.bestdestinationwedding.com/t/39413/everything-you-can-do-with-vistaprint
  14. I think it's beautiful - you look very pretty and happy! I wouldn't worry about it being "too much" for the beach...wear what you love!
  15. Ahhh didn't know it was back up - just used one today, got this one too! Thanks!
