Our main reason for choosing the sunset gazebo was that it is much more private. I heard from my TA and 2 other friends that went to the resort that people there is people in beach chairs very close to the riviera gazebo. We honestly didnt want to be worry about having a random guy in a speedo in our wedding ceremony photo hehehe. Also, the chill out lounge is very close to it. Before we were set for doing the beach reception, which I think is $85 per person, but we have heard only great reviews from the chill out and then again is so much more private. Also, I heard it would be a long walk from the beach reception to the washrooms. In regards to the room, we have not decided yet. We are hoping to get a nice room, not necessarily a swim up, since I dont think we will be hanging in the pool of the swim up rooms. And I know most of our guest just get the jr suites. What about you? I have only gone dress shopping twice, but no luck . My first time was in David's bridal and my second time was last week, I went to Best of Bride (next to Kipling station). What about you? Any good bridal stores you recommend in the GTA area? We are also flying out of Toronto. I live in Mississauga by the way.

Hi! If you are still looking for a travel agent I would definitely recommend Lorena from Wander Travel (Streetsville). She has made our process so much easier! And has done way more than she is suppose to. She did a site visit and spoke to our resort wedding planner, and brought back pictures to help us choose the best location at the resort. Let me know if you want her information.

I know what you mean, it took us a while to figure things out too. It is hard to make decisions without actually been there. But we have finally booked the time and places. We are having the ceremony at the Sunset Gazebo at 4 and then dinner at Chill out lounge at 7 (We might change it to 6 though). I was also thinking on having our final RSVP date about 4 months before out wedding to start buying and finalizing things, but was scared that it was too early. Now that you mention it I feel more comfortable, and I am thinking on sticking to the time frame. As of now we have around 50 confirmed. And that is great you have a great travel agent, it totally makes a different! We are really happy with ours too. She actually did a site visit a month ago, and talked to Emma the wedding planner at the resort and helped us decide which was the best place for our wedding, as well as room for our guests. It was her first time at this resort, and she said we made a great decision! so good for us!! =) By the way, were are you flying from?

Hey FutureMrsWarner I am also getting married November 2013 in Riviera Maya! .. Have you picked your resort yet?? About the bridesmaid's dresses, I am thinking on going with convertible dresses. I like how they will be wearing the exact same colour but they can wear the dress in the way that best suits them.. Check out Henkaa they have a store in Toronto, and if you go into their website, you can order free swatches.
