  1. @Yanick Demers - Thanks so much for the info! Is this right beside the swim up bar? Do you know if they close it for private parties? I don't think this was there when we originally went to the Ocean Coral. @andecker - I remember reading about that somewhere through the forum but couldn't tell you exactly where...sorry If I get any details from Ana I will let you know! @Sandy - Congratulations on your big day! I'm sure you have put a lot of FB's minds at ease!!! Can't wait for more pictures
  2. Hi Everyone! I'm trying to figure out the flow of our day. Does anyone know how many weddings they will put on in a day? I was only given an option for 2pm and 6pm and somehow it became 530pm. I'm worried about pictures and what time the sun sets because although i'm not very traditional I still don't want my FH to see me before the wedding and therefore no pictures before. Did anyone else have to try to change the times for their wedding from what was originally put forth? Do you think this would be a problem? If we get married at 530 i'm guessing the ceremony wont be any longer than 30mins. If we do family/friend photos after that it will likely take us to 7pm and then pictures for ourselves while guests have cocktail hour. That seems too late for sunlight doesn't it? Also, after pictures/cocktail hour we would then head for dinner & reception on one of the terraces. Are most FB's having their dance there? I've read mixed things about moving pool side and only being able to do that if you have a larger group. We will likely be around 30 people so I wasn't sure if that would still be an option for us. What's everyone doing for their timeline and locations? Thanks for your help!

If you still had the flower information that would be a great help as i'm trying to decide if this should be something i order outside the resort.... Does anyone have a florist figured out off of the resort? DO you know if you have to pay the vendor fee for this too?? Thanks for your help!
  4. @Shanon09 - Glad to hear your planning is going smooth! I am actually pretty much all-consumed by the OOT bags...lol. So far I've been REALLY lucky with Avon and Dollarama. I found some fantastic aqua coloured woven beach bags that were regularly $20 each for $5 a piece, some sun block lip balm, soothing foot cream (all those long walks on the beach , right now they have an Aloe Vera Gel for $1.89 (150ml) which is cheaper than the Dollar stores! I've also picked up some glasses cleaner pads (20 for $1), kleenex pkgs (10 for $1), wet wipes (20 for $1) cheap cheap nail files and dental floss picks. The list of ideas is getting pretty long but unfortunately my bank account doesn't seem to be getting bigger! T-shirts, Bubba mugs etc etc start to add up. How many people are you expecting? We are planning for 30 however our RSVP's are due back August 21st. so we may have to adjust some things. We will be there April 6-13th but are undecided if we are going to head to another resort for a second week. We love OCT and have been twice before which made the decision really easy but we would also like to try somewhere new for the Honeymoon portion of this adventure! When are you there? For how long?

  6. lisam3604- I can see your point about the reception but wonder if you will "miss out" on the closeness and intimate feeling of having your closest friends and family in the moment with you on your big day? I really love your idea about the save a dates and the wedsite and wish I would have thought about that! We just sent out our Save a dates but also only have 7weeks for our guests to put down their deposits so the invites will also be going out within the week only 1.5weeks apart. I feel like once the invites go out the stress will melt by 80%...great thinking! It's crazy how all consuming this gets! Save a dates, OOT bags, photographers etc etc etc! Soooo glad I found BDW and this forum!!!
  7. Hello Ladies - so happy I found this forum! We've just recently booked for April 10, 2013. Not sure if this is normal but the planning is taking over all of my spare time...lol. When Ana originally sent me the wedding package and information it indicated that you aren't allowed to use outside photographers....has anyone had difficulties with this? Thanks in advance for your help! Keep the tips coming
