  1. No, not at all. They were really easy. You just peel them off and then place them where you want and then use a Popsicle stick type thing that she sends with them to smooth out. It was a fun project!
  2. Here's the website of the cosmetic brand the spa uses if anyone is interested http://www.faceatelier.com/face/us/web.nsf/fmPublic!OpenForm
  3. I'm doing a hair trial the day before and It is $45 and then an additional 15% off (I have the classic package) that's just for hair, I'm not doing a makeup trial so not sure what cost of that is.
  4. I just gave them my entree counts. I have one vegetarian dish that i requested in addition to the beef and chicken choices and they didn't say a word about it. Also I am having them do my hair and make-up. I asked what make-up brand they use and she said Atelier Cosmetics. Hope this helps....
  5. She didn't really say which was more popular but I went with the one with green peppers, roasted potatoes and veggies. For the chicken I went with Chicken Fantasy b/c she said it was a popular one. She also said the coconut shrimp was popular. Let me know what they say about the ceasar salad. I picked the mediterranean salad but she said the caprese is popular too. I decided not to do a soup b/c it's going to be so hot and I don't care for cream soups so we are doing the chocolate glory for desert and then tres leches wedding cake.
  6. I asked my coordinator specific questions about what certain dishes were and how they were cooked and that was help. Im so glad I did bc I was going to get the fettuccini with seafood but then asked what seafood was in it and she said squid, mussels and shrimp so I nixed that. She also sent me pics of some of the food and that was helpful. I also asked her which were most popular and favorites and agai this was helpful. I am going with a beet and chicken entree to keep it simple. I figure almost everyone likes one of those. I have one vegetarian going and they will provide a vegetarian meal for her. Hope this helps.
  7. I have to pick ours by Friday and I am really struggling! I'm thinking of doing the beef medallion as one choice and then the fettucini with seafood as the other. I think we are doing the mediterannean salad. I am contemplating doing a soup instead of dessert since we will have cake. For the cake, I went with Tres Leches. It's hard b/c I know many people coming like simple food and half the stuff I don't know what it is lol.
  8. Thanks so much. I checked with the seller and she said they'd work for all sizes. Now I just can't decide on a style/color. I don't need them for the wedding, want to get them for them to wear around beach and resort. It's hard to pick for 3 people with different tastes. I'm thinking black or neutral color.
  9. These are so cute. I was going to get beaded ones but am considering these instead. My bridesmaids feet range from size 7 to size 10. Do you think these would fit all?
  10. Looking for inspiration and ideas for wording. Thank you!
  11. We aren't hiring one but we are having a friend videotape the ceremony so we can show it at our at home reception.
  12. Thank you!! Do you have a pic Of the ones you made? Any suggestions on what sizes to get? This seems so much cheaper than buying them pre-made!
  13. Do you still have these? If so what would price be for 100? Thanks
  14. These are so cute!! How did you put together the cd cases? Where is your wedding? Mine is June 24!
  15. I am not taking a card box for the exact reasons you stated-- one I don't want to drag it there and two because I don't expect people to bring cards to the wedding. I will have one at my at home reception.
  16. No, I'm not getting charged but it's really not my own design, it's just a variation of one of the designs they already offer. I just wanted to tweak it a bit. My wedding is June 24, 20123 and my RSVPs were due March 31, 2013. We had a couple people change their plans after that date but for the most part everyone was booked by then.
  17. That is the same vendor I ordered mine from. I got them and look nice. I just haven't had a chance to put them together yet.
  18. I'm so, so sorry about your pet. It's so hard you could maybe put a photo of him in a small frame and attach it to your bouquet. That is what I am doing for my grandparents and family pet that passed. I'm having a Fiesta themed bachelorette next weekend! My wedding is June 24th in playa del Carmen. So much to do in so little time, these past few months have really flown! again sorry for your loss...
  19. Hi there! I was lucky enough to meet another bride on here that got married at the Royal in January and had the same wedding colors as me so she's made my planning much simpler! As I mentioned, I am getting my bridesmaid bouquets through Flores Riviera Maya and my bouquet through the resort. My package also comes with a bout so I will get that but I think for everyone else I am doing starfish bouts. I'm getting my hair and make-up done at the spa at the resort and doing a hair trial the day before. I am planning to take my wedding party girls to get massages on the beach. I have heard they are MUCH cheaper than the resort ($25 hr compared to like $70 at the resort). I actually have reservations at Veronica's on 5th for massages which has rave reviews on TripAdvisor. As for food, I haven't picked the menu yet but I'll let you know as soon as I do. It's the most difficult decision for me! For the cake I am doing a simple cake design that I sent them and taking a cake topper and plan to decorate it with a a couple fresh lilies. I chose Tres Leches as the flavor based on other reviews. We will about 30 people so it is on the smaller side. We are doing the ceremony at the gazebo, cocktail hour on the patio and the reception either on gazebo garden or beach by gazebo. That's the basics for now. Feel free to ask questions. My off site coordinator is Mariana and she has been pretty good to work with. I haven't got assigned my on-site coordinator yet but should soon. I'll be sure take lots of notes and pictures while I'm there and report back. I did not do a site visit so I am trusting the advice and suggestions of other brides!
  20. If anyone is selling one, please let me know.
  21. Hey ladies! I'm getting married at the royal playa del Carmen this coming June (so soon!!). I just wanted to share that I am using Flores riviera maya for my flowers. They were recommended to me by another bride and I have been very pleased. I ordered bridesmaid bouquets and they were half the price ($35) of what they were charging at the resort. I sent her a pic of what I wanted so that they will match my bouquet since I'm getting it through the resort. They are delivering outside the resort the day of the wedding so I won't have to pay a Vendor fee. Here is the website If anyone wants to check them out. Alina is pretty quick to respond to email and is very helpful. Hope this helps! http://www.floresrivieramaya.com/eng/
  22. I am curious if anyone has made their own monogram cake topper with crystals etc? If so, could you please let me know where you got the letter and the crystals?
