I'm getting married in Mexico but plan to "legalize" it in US. At first I wanted to do it before but now I'm thinking after for the same reasons mentioned. I don't want to do it before and then it lessen the significance of the ceremony.

The boarding pass is a save the date. I'll probably do a passport for the invitations.

I'm using one and so far she's been helpful. My wedding isn't til June 2013 so I'm in the very early stages of planning. But so far she's answered all my questions and been great with her response and coordinating with the resort.

Mine is June 24, 2013!!!!!  I just ordered save the dates.  I have my wedding date reserved, that's about it so far, lol.

For anyone that has gotten married there or have been to the site, what would you say is the best location for the reception-- the beach, gazebo, garden or ballroom?  I'm being asked to choose now and it's hard to decide without seeing the locations. I'm guessing I'll have 20-30 guests. Thanks!

I am getting married in Mexico and planning to sign the papers in the US the week before we leave and then have a symbolic wedding there.  It will be the same to me as we plan to not say vows, kiss, etc.  I'm not telling anyone though unless they ask. The cost and loopholes you have to jump through (blood tests, be in the country 4 business days) to do it legally in Mexico is ridiculous in my opinion.
