  1. Also check Old Navy online. Not 100% certain about men's linen but I saw women's linen pants there recently on the site. Also, Gap and Banana Republic are linked to that site once you're there. I order regularly from them. Shipping is free if you spend over $50 and returns can easily be made by mail or just take into the store and return.
  2. If you're located in Toronto, there is a Le Chateau outlet store on Orfus rd (near Yorkdale mall). They have lots of mens suits, vests, pants and shirts. I actually found out about it based on the suggestion of another bride who posted earlier in this thread. She posted her FI outfit and I loved it!!
  3. This dress IS BEAUTIFUL! Scratch all my other remarks... it's sexy sophisticated and kinda Marilyn Monroe-ish. This is the one! OK but now you must STOP LOOKING! LOLOL! And hahahaha@alcoholics littering the floor with beer bottles.
  4. I like # 2 & #3. But I am a big fan of lace. If you can't refund # 2, I'd say don't get #3. It's a dress you'll wear one day for about 6hrs. And you'll look stunning regardless. :-) YOu will probably have more of a hassle trying to sell the original dress because ppl will think it's a knockoff or that something is wrong with it. When I bought my dress...and it took me awhile before i could commit to one dress... the sales lady told me when you pay your deposit, you are essentially committing to the dress. At that point you STOP looking. It was hard to do but there are so many other things to do when planning a wedding you just need to focus. Shoe shopping is also a lot of fun, btw. :-)
  5. My wedges are 5" tall. HAHAH! So if I don't alter it will def be noticeable. I think flats would be way more comfortable i just haven't really looked for any yet. Maybe I'll do that tonite.
  6. Sooooo excited for you Sjay!!! Have an amazing time...I can't wait to hear all about it!! Think positive and all good things will come your way. Especially the weather. Congrats!!
  7. Does anyone have any suggestions for a rehearsal dinner in JA? I want to do something offsite and nice in Montego Bay.
  8. Is everyone doing their own hair at there DW? If not, who have you booked to do yours? Especially the brides getting married in JA.
  9. I am also stumped on where to find GM suits. And groom. I am torn between going the formal route or just getting one of the $99 suits from Studiosuits, com. They look good in the pics but I'm nervous my luck will be different.
  10. @EmilyT...I LOVE this dress!! Very beautiful...subtle yet so dramatic. I personally like the birdcage veil better. BUT I like the long one too. And the long veil would look amazing in pics. I've seen pics where they hold veil up and then let it go and it looks like it's blowing and its amazing. I actually want a long veil just to do that one pic. hahaha. You could wear long for ceremony and some pics and then do the birdcage for reception. OR just do the birdcage. :-)
  11. FYI...Aldo.com has a great sale on flats, wedges and sandals if anyone is still looking. Heels also. Extra 30% off. If you sign up on mailing list you get an additional 10% off. My suede wedges came to $31. Reg price $100
  12. HAHAHAH! I'm a product junkie also. I've been growing out my relaxer for a year now and trying to go all natural. Coconut oil btw has been a godsend! Makes it soft and I think its causing it to grow too. Try it. My jar says 100% coconut oil...good for skin, hair and COOKING. hahaha. I got it at the west indian store in the food aisle. Walmart etc also prob sell it. or health food. It would be a shame to have to relax it just for the wedding since I've been so good up til now. But I may need to in order to achieve the look I want. Even with a sew in I'd want smooth edges. Ugh...the debate continues....
  13. Did you book her for your entire wedding party also? Does she do discounts for group bookings?
  14. Check aldo.com for sandals. THey have a great sale on summer shoes online and lots of selection and sizes.
  15. @jreist what did you decide to do about the centrepieces? I thought of you today because I saw similar flowers to yours and they were in a silver short tin can with the table number hanging off the can. They looked great. And prob quite inexpensive and light also.
  16. I got engaged in May. I didn't actually do anything until the summer. That's when I started looking about hotels etc. I knew I'd be doing a destination and told people word of mouth. My invites didn't actually go out until a week or so ago. And with that was my save the date (sort of). I didn't do a formal one but I did do an electronic save the date and called it a day. I'm cheap also. Why bother sending out more postage. I'm 5months away now so not much point.
  17. @alysia85...it looks Beautiful! I showed my BM's the pics and they're sold on Rashel as well. Thanks!!! I'm gettin excited now. Can't wait to see the complete look from head to toe.
  18. I've been to Playa and I definitely recall seeing a scotiabank. Not sure if that's canadian or american but it's def there on a corner not far from the main hotel strip.
  19. Google Passport templates. Or search it here on this site. I've seen many brides post their templates that you can download and customize.
  20. Just curious what the proper protocol for dealing with guest list is.... I have a max capacity of 100 at my venue. I really only want about 80 to attend. Between my family and FI family we will easily reach that number. I don't want to exclude anyone from invites so out of respect I'm sending to everyone. BUT...what happens if everyone replies, everyone brings a guest and everyone attends?? I'm screwed!! How did others handle this? I've heard about doing A and B lists but as I've only got 5months left and am just now sending out the invites that can't really happen. HELP! Any suggestions?? I'm way over my head. all i can do at this point is LOL!
  21. GULP! I forgot about half of these things. I think I am going to print your list and customize it for myself. LOL! So many things to be done. I'm beginning to sweat at the thought of it. Clearly I need to subscribe to this thread for updates and reminders.
  22. HOpefully by then, everyone will had had one too many to drink and won't notice and all my pics will be done so I won't even care. Too bad they didn't make 5" Air Jordans. I'd be in line for those. haha
  23. That will be my issue as well. I was told if I wana save $100 on my dress alterations, I should get 5" shoes. I found some cute wedges and now am realizing that if i don't alter the length, I will be swimming in the dress if i change to flats.
  24. Your makeup is beautiful!! I love how it's effortlessly flawless - not heavy at all. But still dramatic with the lashes. I've been in contact with Rashel and am probably goin to book. Every bride I've seen who's used her looks amazing! So funny...i looked on the FB page and scrolled thru the pics. For some reason as much as i like the natural look and claim to be a natural beauty, I LOVE the look of her dramatic makeup and think I want that. The post where she's talking about dramatic shouldnt be clowney. LOL.
