Hello fellow Canadian Brides!!! My FI and I have decided on Mexico for our DW. I would love to have our wedding at the RIU in the Mayan Riviera, but it seems that most Canadian carriers do not offer packages there. Any Canadian brides for the RIU on the Mayan Riviera? Did you book flight and hotel separately or go with a provider? If so, which one? Thanks! Dina

I agree! The service is great too! We actually ate there twice in our one week vacation we enjoyed it so much. All the best on your wedding .

Hi Nic! I returned a few weeks ago from the GBP. I ate at Le Gourmet, Mikado, Arlequin and Don Pablo. I would DEFINITELY recommend Le Gourmet. It was great, and the service was unbelievable. By FAR the best restaurant we ate at. Hope that helps! Dina

Hi! I just got back from the Coba for vacation. We were able to make reservations at both the Akumal and the Tulum resort. I would HIGHLY recommend the Gourmet restaurant in the Coba though. Fantastic service, and the food was really good. We actually went twice we liked it so much! Definitely recommend the Carpaccio as an appetizer and the Shrimp for the main course. We booked the gourmet restaurants in Tulum and Akumal and didn't find the service or food as good. Hope that helps!

We are in the very early stages of planning - trying to pick the resort! I am seriously contemplating the El Cid, but so not sure yet! What made you both decide to go with El Cid? I personally love that it's a smaller resort, and I really like the idea of getting married on the jetty. I find the information on the website somewhat confusing, and there aren't many reviews of this resort on this website. Any information you gals could provide would be greatly appreciated!
