My bridesmaids walked down the aisle to "Golden" by Chrisette Michelle and I walked down to "Giving Myself Over to You" by Jennifer Hudson. Now everytime I hear one of those songs I have the best memories!!!

Pros: Beautiful wedding location, very accomodating, very happy with our special day! Cons: some miscommunication, cake serving utensils returned broken and not cleaned I have to say that I had the most beautiful wedding! Luisa was so sweet and so patient with me, I owe her a great big thanks! Two days before my wedding we met with her and confirmed all of our choices for our ceremony and reception, and gave her all my decorations, which she put together so perfectly and elegantly. She told us no more worries that she would take care of everything and she did! I was able to relax until my big day arrived. The morning of the wedding it rained twice, sun showers to be exact, quick showers, but had me nervous enough to want to change my location from the fountain and the pool to the eclipse night club, but that would shorten my time. We lucked out with the weather and we were able to have the ceremony at the fountain and reception at the pool. And both locations were absolutely perfect!!!! I had my hair and makeup done in the spa and rented the bridal suite, I loved my hair and makeup, fabulous job! My girls all had there hair done at the spa as well as my mom and excellente job!!! Ceremony and reception were perfect, I had a beautiful wedding, I don't know what more I can say!!!! Food and cake both delicious, everyone loved their meal! My only issue I had was my cake serving set was returned to me damaged and dirty, still cake and icing residue and a cake crumb inside box. I didn't notice until 2 days later when there were ants in our room, and I opened up the box to find that's where they were coming from. We stayed in the preferred club and notified our consignee. He made good for our troubles by deep cleaning our room, washing the clothes that were in the same area, and giving us a romantic dinner on the beach with lobster and steak. I highly recommend NOW Larimar to have your wedding. We all understand things happen, but the staff here is very accommodating and makes good on any unforeseen issues that may arise. Thank you! We rented the ipod doc and speakers and it actually came with lighting and a man running the system, just no emcee, but luckily one of our friends was able to emcee for us and since system comes with a mic it worked out great! The reception was 3 hrs, which seems short, but we were so tired from the long day we were fine with it. Others went to the Eclipse nightclub after the reception which is a lot of fun and a nice atmosphere. I put mostly all my decorations in one suitcase, and then i used the suitcase to bring home our wedding clothes so I didnt have to carry them on again. We had a total of three bags but even though i paid baggage fees, it was still less than renting from the resort. My lanterns collapsed so the were easy to pack. I included plastic mugs in my welcome bags and that was what took up the most room in the suitcase!

My ceremony set up was simple, I did not pay for the chair sash set up fee of $1 per sash for the ceremony, nor add any other decor. Unfortunately it was not in the budget, but the surrounding were so beautiful I did not feel I needed it. I wish I had a better pic of my tables, sorry!!!!

Wow your day is very soon!!!! Our room was really nice, we were in the preferred club, but I had guests in regular rooms and also some in the garden view rooms, which were in the newer section, and they were really nice also! A shuttle runs between the 2 sections and the garden view rooms have their own lazy river type pool and swim up bar, very nice! Also, the Italian restaurant is in the section and it is one of the best in the resort!! We did not have a rehearsal dinner, I do believe it is extra. Let me know what pics you would like to see!!

I did bring my own cake utensils, so I am unsure if they supply them, I would think they do, but not 100% sure. I also brought my centerpieces, chair sashes, table overlays, fan programs, toasting flutes, cake topper, and shells, starfish placecards, guest book, and memorial luminaries. So glad you are excited! It was an awesome time I wish I could do it all over again, I wouldn't change a thing!!

@bethlorentz, thats great!!! just keep all emails so you have them if there are any issues!!! The outside vendor fee for photographers used to be $150 and it was per person, maybe now since its higher they decided just one per company.

Unfortunately it is per person, so if 2 people show up from same company, it would be $1000. I just came back from my wedding and although I used HDC as my photographer and loved them and I highly recommend them, I also had pics with my package by WBA as well as my guests purchased photo shoots on their own and they did a great job also!

I heard the tropical view rooms are close to all the other rooms, but it is the garden view rooms that are far from everyone else, like close to the entrance of the resort.

@bncandi, try Liberty Travel, I went with them and they had me sand my invites out beginning of Nov 2012 for my Aug 2013 wedding!!

hey!! most people have oily eyelids, so always use an eyemake up primer. also I have maybelline eye studio waterproof eyeliner and it lasts all day! hope this helps!!!

@Nena Martinez, hey! we have 29 guests and chose our resorts middle package, which is $2399 for 25 people. With flowers and renting an iPod instead of having a DJ and the extra people the package is coming up to $3300. With our room credits for 10 rooms booked our trip cost $1530. Airfare was around $1000 for both of us. My dress with alterations was $550 and my fiances suit was about $200. Most of the decorations I am bringing myself and did online shopping and used Michaels coupons for stuff at the craft stores. I am not sure how much I have been spending on the detail stuff cuz I have been buying it slowly for about a year now. Let me know if I can help with anything else!
