I received the email from them yesterday. And I agree with you 100%. We shouldn't even have to justify our choice of photographer, ask any bride and the most important thing in a wedding is your pictures, your memories.

Welcome Mimi! Have you paid your deposit? Once you do that you will be able to book day and locations. The resort photographer is WBA studios and the hairdresser the resort uses is the same as the secrets spa which is next to Dreams. I can send you the menu for the spa if you like.

I am sure they do a fantastic job, but the packages are not close to comparable! The resort photographer is much more expensive and I do not want printed pictures to travel back with. It's the principle as well that I should be allowed to choose whomever I want to take pictures at my wedding, these are my memories and if I have to pay for a service I want to be able to choose who will provide it.

I agree, this can not stand. We can not be forced to use a specific photographer if we are also expected to pay for it! If the resort is forcing me to use a certain company, then the resort should pay for it. My money, my choice!

Agreed!!!! If you ladies have the ok in writing from them, hold onto it!!!! They really do not want to lose business or have bad word of mouth!

It was never communicated to me at all!!! I found out on this website in one of the threads another bride said she read it on bottom of one of her emails. I would email your WC as soon as you can. I don't think we should stand for this. If they want to change their rules going forward fine, but I booked mid January with HDC and I do not feel I should be forced to use their photographer. It is one of the most important parts of a wedding!!!

For all future brides!!!! Now is no longer allowing outside photographers!!! Email your WC and let them know how upset you are!! Hopefully we can get this changed! Me too! Thats crazy! I have never heard of this type of thing! I am really starting to reconsider my choice for Now. I am almost at the 5 mth point and if I didnt have all my guests already booked I would move my wedding. This is awful.

I just emailed my WC Luisa, I also booked and paid my down payment for HDC and I need clarification. I have never been sent anything stating no outside photographers and am very concerned right now.I will let you ladies know as soon.as I find out.

that is so strange, I specifically asked about outside photographers in my question about vendors and was not told that, can you copy and paste that email please. I'm extremely concerned about this now. I know for a fact other brides have had outside photographers and I already booked HDC. thanks!
