  1. Well that sounds like a good idea! Especially if it is something that you and your family will be happy about for the long run. Sometimes it is hard to find information about things that are far away but I'm sure you'll do great!! Good luck!
  2. Thanks for the info on Tapatalk....just went and got it for my ipad and it works great. Thanks
  3. I know that Carnival Cruises offer weddings in Cozumel....I haven't really looked into that package too much but I know that on our Caribbean cruise out of Galveston that it was one of the wedding options. cruising is a great option and I believe that the Carnival Liberty was recently upgraded!!
  4. wow again love them all but really enjoyed #2 and #10!! Goodness these brides look fabulous!
  5. These are stunning pictures. All of them....I liked #2 but also liked the clearness of #4. Great photos all around though!
  6. Well I know the poll is closed but my faves were #4 #6 and #8 although they were all great!
  7. This is good info for newbies like me. I like posting so I don't think it will take too long....there are so many nice things to say about what people have done...and having the time to look a lot over and read experiences is giving me the time to organize me thoughts and ideas from everyone. I have a list of templates that I want to download when I get to 150 and I look forward to getting there...Happy posting ladies!
  8. Wow first of all they look awesome! I am totally going to go check out getting a new printer because although we don't have any animals it seems they always break...always when I need to use it. Thanks so much for posting your beautiful STD's and I look forward to seeing your invites etc.
  9. holy moly those are amazing photos....actually took my breath away! you looked fabulous!
  10. We are getting married on November 3rd 2013. We have been together for so long but waited a while till DD is older. Now she will really be able to enjoy the wedding with us and the vacation. Just wanted to say hello to all those brides out there....I am really getting into the planning stages now and finalizing the budget(hopefully...) and planning...planning and more planning. This forum is amazing though, the amount of knowledge is great! Looking forward to watching everyone approach their dates and me approach mine! Good luck everyone!
  11. We are going for a loose tropical theme...the STD's and the Invites will be bright colors like robins egg blue and brigh pinks and orange. My dress has a sash on it that I havent decided the color for just yet....and the bridesmaids dresses that I really like come in a bunch of different colors and I have the swatches on the way to see which look best. I think the theme will really be carried through by the fact that we are in the caribbean on a cruise ship....man it's going to be great!
  12. They really do look great. I love all your ideas and checked out the mini place as well. I have to decide between getting all this stuff before hand and having to deal with getting it from one country to another and then to the port or on the other hand risking not getting what I want because I only have 3 days in Texas before the cruise departs and I don't know if I would be able to find everything. I think I will have to do a bit of both and get some stuff before hand and some stuff when I get there. Your bags look great! Thanks ladies for all these great ideas.
  13. In case anyone is using Airmiles I just found a bluetag lounge deal where you get 1 airmile for every dollar spent on photo books, personalized thank you cards and puzzles. Offer is valid until Sept 30 2012. It is through Pictureit4you.com
  14. Very nice. Love the shots around Victoria! You guys look super happy!!
  15. I'm sorta new here but I figure you guys are talking about destroying the dresses....or at least wearing them into the water. hmmm interesting idea....I think the dress that I love would work for that....its Martina Liana 359 so you have the lace overlay and then the under dress like two dresses....that way you could take off a layer and it wouldn't be so heavy. Anyways I am going to go look up what TTD means. Happy Weddings!
  16. I really liked the idea about having the groomsmen walk down the aisle and then sit in the front row or even perhaps in their own row. Allow them to contribute to everything else but does symmetry really matter that much. Your fiance is allowed to want his buddies to be in his wedding, and if he wants that and you are ok with it then go for it...but don't vill the void on the other side with random women that you barely know. People will forever ask you in your pictures....oh who is your bridesmaid, who was your maid of honor etc. Anyways I have a really similar situation and don't really have that many close friends. My FI and I have been together for almost 5 years in sept and we have a 3 1/2 year old Daughter who will be a part of the ceremony as the flower girl. Being a mom and a bit of homebody sometimes means that the people I am close with seem to be the ones I work with, and I hear what you are saying about it feeling awkward. I do have one friend from school that I still keep in touch with but I don't know for sure if she is going to be able to make it. I haven't decided yet if I am going to have a bridesmaid or maid of honor yet....and I guess I will have to see in a little while and get a feel for what the ceremony will be like.....on the other hand I am having a relatively small wedding with probably 20 people coming from another country to cruise with us and so I was thinking really any girl friend that does come (and I think there might be two) could just stand with me and I was thinking about having a more casual bridesmaid - bride relationship....just show up, wear dress, have a fun vacation! Sorry went on a tangent there a bit.....anyways I think that you will find the right balance for you guys. He is set on the guys so the guys should stand on both of your sides....do you have a guy that is special in your life...a closer friend than a girl? that might be an option as well. Good luck and whatever happens just make sure that you are happy and then it will be all good!
  17. We were worried about the same thing and on the cruise that we are doing for the wedding there isn't really the ability to change to a different hotel so we decided to do a Back to Back cruise....first 7 day cruise will be for family and friends and will have the ceremony and all in it and then they all leave the ship and we stay on for another 7 days and go to three new places.....it actually saves us money as well because we don't have to pay for airfare again for a honeymoon that we can both enjoy. Also the first week on the ship we are getting a balcony cabin and the second week we are going to splurge and get ourselves a spa cabin that comes with access to the spa... I think it is really important for us to be able to spend the first week with our guests and family having a great time and then the second week enjoying each other.
  18. Also order some of the swatches and see what the feel of the fabric is. As soon as I get mine I will post what I feel they are like.
  19. Ya I love the infinity dress that I saw in another thread here. I ordered swatches from Henkaa and am really excited to see how the colors look. Check out the video of the girl doing all the styles on the Henkaa website and you will want this dress too!
  20. Love this thread...answers so many questions that I had... We are going to go with the plan of putting the deposit down on the room we need and sending out the information to the guests and linking them after they book. We are only realistically expecting 20-25 people max so it wont be that hard to do but I don't want to be chasing people down....also I love my Carnival PVP who I have used for all of my past cruises so I am just going to give everyone her info and let them book and then we can link. Good luck everyone on the planning and the wedding!
  21. Seriously I thought this was a great idea when I heard about it and then I went and watched the video on the Henkaa website and I am floored and convinced...these are going to be my bridesmaid dresses...and I think I am going to get one as well (in a different color) for on the cruise.....omg soooo versatile I can't even believe it. I really like the colors on henkaa and I ordered the free swatches to see which colors I think will be best!
  22. Wow awesome idea! Thanks so much I will definitely look into this.
  23. Hi there and congrats on your upcoming wedding. I have thought about doing this for our wedding in Nov 2013 but we will have only about 25 guests and all will be sailing with us since we're going to be coming all the way from Canada. I am basically making it not an option to arrive on the day of the cruise because it really isn't an option with an embarkation day wedding...if they want to get early boarding with us then they have to be at the port at 9:30 in the morning. I was thinking about finding a nice restaurant nearby the hotel where we will all stay and having a dinner but after your idea of something more casual I think I might look into that. Since we'll all be cruising together we will have plenty of opportunity to eat together on the ship but I would still like a chance to hand out the OOT bags I will be making for everyone and go over the boarding instructions with them... Perhaps look into someone who could cater something at an affordable rate for you and bring it to the meeting area in the hotel?Or you could go and pick a large order of something up? Then you have the food aspect but you could keep it casual.... anyways good luck and keep us posted on your plans!
