I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to see pics!!!! my email is [email protected] Of course i have a few questions, hope you don't mind answering them - I am having my reception at the Oceana restaurant & am curious to see how they set up in inside (even though you were at Portifino). So, question, how much did you pay for the hurricane glasses & candles? I'm considering opting out of flowers to save $ - how much was the bonfire w/ the bar? I think that would be a pretty awesome thing to do! hadn't considered it. - the cigar roller, how long do they stay? you had them set up for cocktail hour? how much did you pay for them? - the professional DJ, how much do they charge? did you give him a list of songs to play? they made announcements for you? how long did they play music for? - b/c you were in a restaurant, how did the bar service work? i know you mentioned you had a waiter? im assuming you didn't have to pay to set up a separate bar like you would have at a terrace? did you pay for waiter service? @yazzy, where did you have your welcome dinner/rehearsal? did everyone on your guest list attend? did it cost extra to host this? if so how much?

@ amalmRN. thank you for that amazing review!!!! i'm so happy to hear about your rave reviews on the WC's & the DJ! if there is something that you should provide them (diagrams/charts), what would it be? i'm not surprised about the rooms.. i felt the same looking @ the pictures but was in love w/ everything else the resort offered & the wedding pkgs. btw, when it comes to value -did you think you could have gotten more at a different resort?? did any of your guests complain or feel like it wasn't worth the price? lastly & most important- that picture gives me goosebumps!!!!! i'm in LOVE! i hope you will share more!!!

Sister Brides... I just had the biggest heartbreak happen to me. Someone I know (she was a friend from HS) got married in MY DRESS. Its been my #1 nightmare come true. I know my wedding is many months away and I bought my dress so early & know that many other girls would buy it ... but never would I imagine actually seeing someone I know wearing it. I feel so sad & am now debating on getting a new dress. My sisters, friends & FI are being super supportive & saying that I can make it my own & that I shouldn't get upset... but I know that you ladies would understand where I am coming from. I'm totally heartbroken & can't seem to stop the water works from flowing

& yazzy is on the 12th! so many weddings going on now!

I am going through the Formal invitation / RSVP great debate! I need my Sister Brides to help me!!!! My wedding is set for June 28th. I sent out my Save the Date in July. My questions are: 1) When did you send out your formal invitation (how far in advanced from your wedding) 2) How far before the wedding did you set your RSVP date? As a side note, I am working with a travel agent & my guests have the option to put a deposit down of $150 per adult that goes towards their room rate & they have the option to pay if off by April instead of all upfront. For those of you that have already passed this process -- 1) Did you find issues with room availability at the resort and/or airfare prices being too high? If the RSVP date was too close to the wedding? 2) Did you have enough time to order i.e. favors etc if you had your RSVP date close to your wedding date? I guess my major concern is as a bride, I feel like I need to know really early but don't want to deter guests if I'm asking so far in advanced for a commitment.

LOL that is awesome Grace!!!!! i'm asking for a 4 hour reception too. I dont know how ppl can squeeze everything into 3 hours -- I totally want to dance it up & have a good time and dont want to feel rushed! & thanks for all the responses :) so this is a general question for you Sister Brides traditionally I know cocktail hours are meant to be fillers b/c you are off taking photos. but my ceremony is at 3 & have a 2 hour gap in between so i should be able to join my guests at cocktail hour so my questions are: are you using cocktail hour to for photos or will you be joining your guests before the reception??? if you are joining your guests, are you doing anything special while you are w/ them??

I am in desperate need of pictures of the Oceana Restuarant :/ -- since its not one of the main wedding venues I've totally exhausted the photos I can get out of my WC. & they are so hard to find online. The ones that I do find are of the outside & don't really give me any kind of perspective. I feel totally lost in terms of space & what I can do in there for decor. so, IF you happen to have time and/or remember - could you snap a few for your fellow sister bride!??? i would soo appreciate it!!! xxoo
