I agree that speaking to people in person is the best way to get a quick answer. For us when we started thinking about a Mexico wedding we talked with our close friends and family and determined who would possibly be able to come. I think everyone runs into people saying they will come, then never booking though!. We sent save the dates in the beginning of July (wedding March 1st, 2013) and heard verbal yes or no's from some people. Invitations will go out in October with RSVP date of December 1st. So far we have 18 people booked (mostly family and a couple friends). Most of our wedding party hasn't even booked:). It is hard to just let it be and understand that some people are procrastinators lol...but then it makes it hard with the RSVP date for the guest prices for the hotel. I guess all you can do is tell people they will get the best price this way and if they choose not to then what can you do :/. Good luck!

I am so sorry to hear about your father, that is so hard. I can only imagine how you are feeling and I think I would be the same way (willing to change plans to keep my dad healthy), but I am sure your dad is looking at this as a once and a lifetime thing and it will mean the world to him to see his daughter get married no matter what. All you can do is tell your dad you are there for him and let him know you are completely okay with changing plans but support his decision to go too. I am sorry again that you are going through this and hope everything works out. Praying for you and your family!

I vote Marion! I had the same dilemma (both dresses I was contemplating are similar to yours haha) and ended up going for the 'more bridal' dress and so glad I did:). The sweetheart neckline and wrapping is so pretty and flattering.

We are getting married at Barcelo Maya Palace. We chose it because they have beautiful beaches, several options for ceremony/reception, different resorts with different prices points for guests, family friendly, and all inclusive. It can be very overwhelming to choose a resort and I would suggest using a travel agent if that is an option for you. Ours was able to help us narrow it down to 2 or 3 then we chose from there best on what we liked and reviews. Good luck!

Finished my invitations after six long hours with four hardworking girls, a lot of wine, and laughs! Here are my finished boarding pass invitations. Supplies: Tan cardstock paper (Staples) Mint green cardstock (Staples) Palm tree & heart stamp (Hobby Lobby) White shimmer ink pad (Hobby Lobby) Large paper cutter with perforator (Office Depot) Corner cutter-small (Hobby Lobby) Scissors Rafetta string (Hobby Lobby) (this is the RSVP, the sides will be torn off and mailed in like a postcard) (showing the palm tree stamp that is kinda hard to see)
