  1. Does anyone have any experience with either of these companies?
  2. Hi ladies. I just finished my invitations and it would not have been possible without the help of this website and the other brides. Therefore, I wanted to pass along my templates in hopes that it will help future brides. final boarding pass.docx Inside Jacket with compass.pptx Outside jacket with airplane.pptx
  3. I agree that the Exuma Sandals is expensive. Our guests are staying at Palm Bay, which is much more affordable. It isn't as fancy but it should be just fine.
  4. No, we decided not to go the all-inclusive route. We are getting married at the Chat N Chill (www.chatnchill.com). Have you been there before?
  5. We are going to Exuma in a few weeks so I'll be taking the lanterns with me (carrying them on board). I could take the glass out of them but it would be a huge pain in the butt. There are 4 of us going down and everyone can fit 3 lanterns in their carry-on luggage so that should be good. They are cheap, Ikea lanterns ($8) so no biggie if one gets broken. I briefly looked in to shipping stuff to the Bahamas and it was crazy expensive! Like some of you, I'm also hoping to release the sky lanterns but I haven't asked permission yet. I might ask when we are down there in hopes that it will be harder for her to tell me no in person.
  6. Hi girls. We were playing around with centerpieces last night and this is what we came up with. It is a white table cloth with a burlap table runner, 1 lantern, 2 large mason jars, and some greenery. I'm obviously going for a more rustic look. It isn't the best picture, but you'll get the idea.
  7. Hi Mallory. Have you looked in to Compass Point on Nassau? I've never been, but I remember coming across it when we were searching for a venue. http://www.compasspointbeachresort.com/
  8. That is funny that you just brought up centerpieces because I was just about to ask about those. What are you all doing? We're getting married on a very small island in the Bahamas and our venue is not an all-inclusive resort so we are pretty much on our own when it comes to centerpieces. I'm open to any ideas!
  9. Brooke- I ordered these tote bags from vistaprint and I'm really happy with them. I thought I would share with you since they match the airplane we both have on our invitations! Click here to check them out
  10. Invitations are made- we aren't mailing them until mid January but I wanted to get them done. OOT bags are about half done, created a wedding madlib, photographer is booked. Several guests have already bought their airfare!
  11. Girls- what time are your weddings going to be held? I want an evening wedding but want some good lighting for pics too. My wedding will be close to the longest day of the year so I'm thinking 6:00. Thoughts? What are you doing?
  12. Kara- send me your email address and I will send you more info on our plans.
  13. That is exactly what I'm doing, except in the Bahamas! Unless you have local connections, it might be easiest if you find a local wedding planner.
  14. Hi girls. I just wanted to chime in b/c I'm getting married in the Bahamas too, but on Exuma. I think I'm the only bride getting married there but I'm totally ok with that. lol. The lack of tourists is part of the reason we love the island so much. Who are you girls using for a photographer? I have a feeling I'm going to be bringing someone over from Nassau so I'm open to any suggestions!
  15. I never thought to do a thank you for booking note, but I like! Are you sending a hand written note? Or do you have a template of some sort?
