When is your wedding date? I know these ladies have like 2-3 wedding every day. It's possible depending on your date they are just prioritizing your emails. I had a time sensitive question that I couldn't get a reply to so I called. It was hit or miss getting someone live vs get their voicemail. But I did get what I need taken care of. If you feel like your question can not wait for a reply, might as well call and see if you can take care of it over the phone. I noticed the best time to get ahold of someone live is first thing in the morning or towards the end of the day. I think that's when they are in the office? I could be wrong, but that's what worked for me. Im sure everything will work out just fine. From what I hear, you will be amazed with how it all falls together perfectly on your big day. Anyone have an opinion on the Jacuzzi area for cocktail hour that has been there? I'm on the fence; either pool deck where the dinner reception will be or the Jacuzzi area. Not sure if the break up of locations would be weird? Ceremony at 5:00 @ Gazebo Cocktail Hour at 7:00 @ Either Jacuzzi or Ocean Front Pool Deck Dinner Reception at 8:00 @ Ocean Front Pool Deck Hmmm...

Anyone out there have a legal ceremony? I read somewhere that you must have a judge and it will be in Spanish! Does anyone know if this is true? I'm not so much worried about it being a judge, but no one in my family speaks or understands fluent Spanish.

Sounds like you have everything covered. Like you said, with the extended peak season that must be why you experienced higher rates. I wish you the best of luck with flights! I am actually narrowing down my invites as we speak. I know with a traditional wedding that is in town the RSVP is closer to the wedding, but in this case, I think Dec 14th is fair. If you think about it, they will most likely have to have their trip paid off shortly after anyways. Last minute is financially difficult for most people in terms of a trip. Not to say people can't book after, they just wont be guaranteed to be in your block of rooms. Perhaps someone else has some insight on destination wedding etiquette in terms of RSVP?

Oh good, I'm glad you are able to take advantage of that. The early booking bonus was incorporated into our rates. Basically, it is a lower rate for booking so far out. I assume if you have the 3G and already got your prices, you received it. The only other thing I can think of, is the flights. Our TA worked the land rates separate of the flights so we could shop the lowest flights based on departing city (I have people flying from 7 different areas of the USA). We shopped them a couple weeks ago and then again early this week... The prices just dropped over $100! Also, doing it this way my guests with "miles" could get free flights. I have a few couples doing that (wish I had miles! Lol). Not sure if any of this was new or helpful to you, but I thought I would jump in and let you know jic. On another note, if you are there the week of the 17th we will see one another most likely! What day is your wedding!? How exciting!! :-)

Really!? I feel like I got great prices! Are you working w a travel agent? My wedding is on 4/24. My TA advised that the prices drop drastically on 4/17 bc it is the first day out of the "spring break" season. If you have the flexibility, I would start there. Also, the "3G Promotion" is a great way to take advantage of the amount of rooms booked (Group rates, up to 3 rooms free & 2 upgrades, resort coupons, etc.) Between that and the early booking bonus, I am super happy. If you don't have info on the promotion lmk, I'd be happy to pass what I have on! Happy planning :-)

Thank you so much for the feedback. I was actually afraid of that... too many people lurking around in the pool area at 4pm. I had the option of pushing it back to 5pm, do you think it would clear out more around that time? I wish I could have done a site visit. Thankfully I have you all to lean on I actually really liked the beach too, but I was concerned about the noise of the ocean etc. Do you think with the way it is set up they will be able to hear us? Do they allow a sound system to amplify our voices and for music etc.? Also, I will have around 34-40 people; in your opinion, do you think the beach area would make them feel squished? Thank you!

Hello! I am so excited, I confirmed my date today! Dreams Riviera here I come!! April 24, 2013. WooHoo!! Anyone know what time the pool closes? My Ceremony (gondola) is at 4pm, just trying to get an idea of how crowded it is. Also wondering because my reception will be on the pool deck, but I don't want a bunch of people swimming around behind us while we are eating (lol). I saw a picture of someone's reception while they were eating and there was this large man haning over the pool staring at the wedding party with a drink in his hand! Awkward... Also, anyone have feedback on the best location for the cocktail hour? I would prefer it to be somewhat private as well. I am so thankful to have found this BDW.com, you are all so helpful!!
