Hi Tamara! Yes I know!!! I plan on doing what you did for your site visit (buying one way tickets to and from so that it's not that bad of a hit at once!) So girls! guess what we did this weekend?! we picked out our wedding bands!!!! We had only gone in to try some for me being that my E-ring is a marquis cut and I was curious to see what would look good with it. The band I fell in love with was on sale and the sales girl said that we could lock in the price by putting it on layaway paying it over 10 months (wedding is exactly a year away at this point) without having to use credit so he picked his out too and made our first payment!

Natalie, men do have to wear long pants to dinner. but as far as women, they could wear shorts, dresses, etc. most womem are usually dressed for the night for dinner. so a lot will wear heels, dresses etc. closed toe shoes for men is not a big deal but the pants are. I think for my wedding day dress code, im telling everyone "miami chic" meaning like chinos, khaki pants, linen pants, button down shirt or a polo shirt for men and like nice cool dresses for the women. candacey, you DO NOT want an 11 am ceremony! it's too hot and too crowded on the beach at that time. Iwould ask your wc to change it to the afternoon. Why would your travel agent do that? they shouldhave come to you first regarding a time!

Sorry for the multiple posting but I found the Allure 8862 at RKbridal in NYC. Ahh!!! maybe it's meant to be! I'll let you know, i'm hoping to go try it on this weekend. On another note, Susana still hasn't gotten back to me and it's been 2 weeks since we made that transfer for the deposit. I'm starting to get a little annoyed, I just want to make sure they got it!

My date is finally confirmed!!! We were told the books wouldn't open until april for next year so this is a big deal!! Making the first deposit this week!!! Ahhhh!!!

Reign... Im doing a symbolic ceremony, it's just easier to plan that way. I told Susana what i want and she'll send me the invoice which will require me to put down the deposit for the reception spot. I did tell her where i want the ceremony (the pier) which is $500 extra outside the package. Im doing the tangerine sunset package which includes bar higuey for the reception.

So excited! After everything being put on a standstill with my dad's health, Susana got back to me today on the new date and we are ready to confirm. Originally she told me we'd have to wait until April to put down the deposit!!! Thank God as the save the dates went out and I have yet another "friend" who has decided to plan her destination wedding 3 weeks after mine.
