  1. I actually already have my dress!! LOL I started extremely. early and have the tote bags for the oot bags but I. ordered the supplies to make the bridal party tanks and my bridal bikini (figure I have.8 months to get in tip top shape). I designed the ceremony programs this evening and just have to upload to Vista print when I'm ready. I think ill start on the centerpiece supplies next
  2. Lovely Gemini, I most certainly did print almost everything at home. I got the cardstock for the passport cover from paperandmore.com and the parchment paper from both paperandmore.com and staples. The one problem I had was not allocating for the amount of ink I would need. I needed about 1.5 ink cartridges so I had to reprint some of the passport pages as it was a little faded after the first run.
  3. Congrats! and Welcome! Well you've brought me to shame!!! LOL I have just mailed out my invitations yesterday and have my rsvp date of November 15 as I decided not to do a room block. So now, I'm like now what do I do? But I should probably start getting things b/c by end of August I go into my very last and what's sure to be a hectic semester in grad school and by the time I'm done...it'll be January with 2 months left! Ugh!! Panic attacks!!!
  4. Aww thanks Lovely Gemini, Yes I totally feel the savings were worth it and i got exactly what i wanted!! I hated assembling them but once they were all done, i felt this satisfaction of giving my guests a personal invitation (literally). I think you should def try to make them, it's not hard at all, just takes time. you could make it your summer project and i'm here if you need any tips or advice.
  5. For the past brides, I understand for the cocktail hour it is only type of drink. That doesn't go for the reception right? Thinking of coming up with a signature drink and have the menu in the frame by the bar.
  6. LOL I'll be happy to help you if you need the help!
  7. Hi DrVic I made most of the invitations except the flat cards, I ordered those from vistaprint and the actual pocketfolds from paperandmore.com. It's really not that hard to make the passport invitations! I would recommend investing in a paper cutter which really made it easy for me. I used a template I found on here and redesigned it for months!
  8. welcome back Natalie and congratulations!!!!! looking forward to your review!
  9. That awkward moment where you dropped all of your invitations in the mailbox and your rsvp date is november 15 and you're thinking "now what do i do?" Yes girls...im there. Now what do i work on???
  10. aww thanks hunny my advice would be to take the summer to do them. they take a lot of work but honestly I couldnt have paid for anyone to do them! they are so worth all the time and effort! let me know if you need help!
  11. Reign I say do whatever your heart desires! As long as there is enough time in between to get everyone back to the Bar H do whatever you want! You could also take pics up there without doing the cocktail hour up there. Something to keep in mind! I'll def be up there lol
  12. I had a few different ideas than some of my BM had for my bachelorette. They assume i need strippers and I want a co-ed one myself. I just put my foot down since my sister is the MOH. But I personally wouldn't even worry about it. I've have a BM who is also planning a DW 3 months after mine and another who is pregnant. I haven't planned on asking anyone to step down but I can't actually forsee them being BM b/c of all the expenses. Give her own time to back away from the position. Life happens and plans change! Me? I'm still waiting to see exactly who will remain in the bridal party without shooting myself in the foot.
  13. I agree that Jasmine's is getting expensive. For my dress, they had quoted me $800!!!!! and the original dress was $1020. Needless to say, babyonline made it for $150!!!
  14. Ugh!!! 2 are in the same household. Here's the situation...I asked my godmother for one of my godsister's address and she just told me to mail it to her house, that she'll give it to her. My other 2 godsisters have supplied me with their addresses so invites are going to their respective houses. I had refused to send 2 invitations to the same address (didn't want to waste stamps) but now I feel like if this godsister doesn't see one addressed to her she'll think she's not invited?? This is so dumb
  15. Thanks Netty! I loved the passport idea but I also wanted a slight formal invitation so I just thought to combine the two! I can't wait to hear my guests' reactions!
  16. Hi Girls!!! I have finally finished my invitations!!!! The dilemma I have is i have 4 extra and my family has added 4 extras to the guest list and I want to keep one for myself!!!! This literally probably took me an entire 3 weeks to assemble and about 2 months of designing and redesigning the passport. The DVD is like a movie of the videos of the resort I found on youtube which I added my own text and background music to really get the guests excited to book!
