Rayn these are the bags I got.http://www.discountmugs.com/product/tot90-non-woven-printed-shopper-tote-bags/ I figured people could reuse them for groceries later on. They're actually spacious inside but the only headache is that if you apply the iron directly on the bag, it melts. So a fellow bride gave me the tip of using a towel on top. I've been trying to get a Dominican remedy called "rapidita/hangover helper" for my oh shit kit and adding a bottle of Mamajuana saying "drink on!" LOL

I finally got the Iron-on transfer part of the welcome bags down. I ruined 2 bags figuring it out. I will work on it again tomorrow and post a picture. I'm glad I have this much time left for these mistakes!

So I started to do my iron on transfers on my eco-friendly reusable bags but as soon as the iron hit, the bag melted. Any suggestions on what to do? Obviously i can't use the iron on transfers but any other way to get "Punta Cana" on them? Or just suck it up and use gift tags?

Girl!! I just realized half of the things i need are only sold in summer and things are flying off the shelves so i'm trying to do as much as I can. Besides I go back to school end of August and pretty much can't do anything until after Christmas, which leaves 3 months before the wedding!

I think the teal, white, and grey/silver is a great combo!!! My colors are just lavendar/lilac with grey!!! So OOT bags have officially taken over my life!!! Smh it's so hard not to go overboard!

I think I'm going to go with Jasmine's Bridal! They replicated this Vera Wang Gemma dress, which is the exact same bottom as the one I like. They quoted me $700 and I think Ima just go for it. I guess I'd wear this one all day and then my other dress as my TTD

Honestly I didn't want to be on the hook with the rooms even tho Apple returns the money back. Also I was noticing that the prices I was getting from various travel agencies is way higher than if people booked alone and I was having heart attacks at the prices. So i figured most people would book wherever they can since they are notorious travelers anyway.

Did you call the main office?? I was using Kelly but then decided against putting down for room deposits and went with Patty from Wright Travel.

Lori, I ordered bags from discountmugs. I think for 25 bags I paid about $28 with the shipping. Depending on the resort you're staying at, you dont need to include things like lotion, etc. My resort provides sewing kits, soap, lotion, snacks etc. So I'm only doing the bags with the acrylic tumblers that I will be getting from Dollar Tree for $1 each (cheapest I've seen) and some lipbalm from bulkapothecary.com. I might go as far as putting some tylenol in there also but I'm not going crazy on that end. The bridal party tho...I've gone crazy and we haven't even picked out dresses yet! LOL

rayn ive been with my fi for 7 years and it was about freaking time!! Lol ive been engaged a yr. my life is being consumed with oot bags, bridesmaids tees, keycard holders, etc. My fi has been great in ok'ing everything tho lol. First Off, Hiiiiiii and Congratulations to the new brides on the forum!!!!!!!!!!!!! So I just wanted to update you girls on what I'm doing. I have sent out the invitations on Sunday and people are completely blown away from them. I have a family member of my FI's side who just received their invitation today all the way in California who already booked her trip! I am so happy about the response but now I'm a little worried I excited them too much! LOL OAN, I've gone into a planning frenzy and started buying raffia fans, seashells, candles, etc. Brownsugar, WHy didn't they mention their fee before? That sucks. I hope your WC can work something out with them so you can have your dream wedding.

Hi Borgesn, I am a fellow Barcelo Bride. I'm getting married at the Barcelo Bavaro Palace Deluxe in Punta Cana, DR. I chose Barcelo simply because I've stayed at other resorts and not many compare to the Barcelo chain. The grounds are kept clean, maintained, the ambience is wonderful. It's always a great time. I regretably stayed at the GR Solaris in Cancun and wished I had stayed at a Barcelo. You have to make the right decision for you. If you are looking for a place where your guests are going to feel welcome and have a great time, Barcelo has a wonderful animation team.

Dont be nervous! before my may 2013 visit, the last time I was there was in 2009 and without seeing all the changes the resort did I booked my wedding. the resort has changed quite.a bit but I am even more excited now that its been renovated. it's a beautifil resort! have fun and a safe trip!!!!

Aww Natalie! I'm so happy your day turned out great!!! I love your dress!!!! You were such a beautiful bride!!!!!!!!!!!!! Congratulations! My question is regarding Pastor Rick York. Did the resort have a conniption and try to get you to pay a vendor fee to use him? Also, do you have his contact information and maybe a sample of his ceremony script? I am going back and forth with just using the WC or a catholic church wedding. I want the ceremony to be slightly religious just because of my beliefs but I also wanted my pier wedding. What do you think??
