What has everyone's experience been with shipping things to the resort? Has anyone actually done this? I originally said i would just carry everything with me, but as the boxes of stuff keep growing, I'm getting a panic attack. Does anyone know what the resort policy is?

Denise, forgive me its almost Monday abd I drank hoping Monday wouldn't appear. I've dealt with this! mil has tried to make me feel guilty about doing a dw bc fi's brother might not come but he's the biggest asshole ever. My fI has certainly put her in her place. we all get slack for choosing dw but like my Dominican mother would say. "que se jodan". the people who are important will be there. everyone else is just filler. it's amazing how people forget this wedding isn't about them. if it iconveniences you, shut up, mail the rsvp back and call it a day. we don't. need to hear anymore.opposition than we already have. as for these friends... maybe they're just jealous. oh well if they're true friends, they'll be more supportive. since. the fi and I been engaged, 2 of his cousins have gotten married (no previous engagement announced) abd 2 friends have decided they need to get married around the same time I do. it is what it is. this day is about you and your fiance, forget the rest, for real!

I'm actually using an aunt from here, she has a travel connect that does a lotof work in Dr, i cant trust my family down there with something so important. Since my aunt is actuslly traveling with us, i cancount on herto tryand get the best deal. The thing is....i keephesring i have to wait until like october foraccurate pricing snd honestly i can wait, ive priced out for my niece,who is going to be 3, and tey wanna charge like shes an adult!!!! Fromhere anyway. If youhave someone down there that you can trust enough, i saytry. I went to dr in may, got the cheapest room and thrn upgraded the room for $25 a night. You know had iupgraded from here, it would have been 100s. Also, if i get good prices, i'lllet youknow. My guests would have to give me the money asap to get the rooms but its worth it!

I figured my guests will price hunt for the best prices and I just wanted to give them an option. I might book the transportation fir everything if I actually have luck with my family in dr getting the rooms in Dominican pesos.. we shall see. yes I was going to do bags per person and said.forget it, per couple is easier especially . since I. gotta take all this crap with me. I haven't decided if I would do bags for any kids going besides my flower girls.and ring bearer. I also used vistaprint for the bridesmaids totes and making tshirts for the parents and parents of the ring bearer, not the flower girl since its my sister and shes moh

As I type, I was ordering the labels from vistaprint. I got the bottles from sandblast i think 50 for like $24.50. They're plastic tho

hmm im not sure those are allowed in flights to dr tho. according to JetBlue "boxes" aren't allowed on flights to dr/haiti ugh! whatever, I'm just going to buy hardshell luggage and check in/carry on. the bottles for mamajuana are going empty and will be filled up over there so that's not an issue, I'll just put the tumblers inside a hardshell suitcase in bubblewrap and check-in. screw it! we only.get married once (hopefully) btw rayn, I say invite your aunt and forget about the rest!

There will always be late bookers lol. I would probably make the RSVP date by Oct. for the late ones who miss the deadline. I sent out my invites in June and gave them a deadline by Nov 15, mainly for myself to plan accordingly...That went out the window! I just bought 50 of everything lol. But I know most people won't book their stuff until then anyway, my family is last minute with everything. And I just figured...they know when and where, it's up to them to get there if they really want to be there. That's how my parents calm me down. "Whoever really wants to go, will go, they know how to get to DR" LOL

That's the plan but I kinda wonder if i should just start buying the suitcases and have them carry it on/check in...most of this stuff is plastic so I'm not too worried about it breaking. Def the raffia fans will be carried on.
