    Exactly!!! Like I didn't even put my registry information on my STDs or Invites and no one even knows about the registry. Man now I want a bridal shower!

    That's exactly why I chose a DW also. It was easier to invite the "obligations" knowing there was no way they would come. That sounds so horrible. But my parents have pretty much supported me on this. Actually my dad was hinting for me to get married in DR before we knew what we really wanted lol. I think a happy medium would work best.

    It ain't like i was inviting men to the bridal shower anyway so I'd like to know which rulebook did he get this from? Engagement party=celebration, if anyone gave me a gift, they wanted to, it wasn't forced. Bridal shower=different and I wasn't even thinking of one honestly. I don't need a bunch of lingerie bought for me lol

    So apparently it is still asshole wedding guests week. Question: is it true that usually people who have engagement parties don't have bridal showers? Is this a rule I'm unaware of? So here goes my cousin asking me if im having a bridal shower and i just said im not sure, and he hits me with this. Right because men know so much?? I don't get what an engagement party would have to do with a bridal shower. Am I bugging?

    warning: rant how do I politely tell people to keep their opinions about "how expensive" the air/hotel packages to themselves. like $1500 for a week is not bad at all. can I just tell them to stfu and stay home if they. think its too much? I just don't want to hear it, I take it personally like they're attacking my wedding. meanwhile we are still too far out for accurate pricing!

    you didn't do too bad. I ordered like 10 shirts that all say "keep calm, im the mother of the bride" MOG, FOB, FOG, GOG, FG, RB, Mother of the RB, Father of the RB lol from vistaprint. I need one that says "Keep Calm, I'm a Punta Cana Bride" lol

    You know most people will have their phones and cameras anyway. It's always something that my family is famous for. Taking photos and i never get to see them!! This will solve that! lol

    i only say it because i don't think i would personally walk around with a bag that says "so and so's wedding 2011" lol after the trip.

    If you were getting a bridal party thank you tote bag....would you prefer a sarong or towel? I'm leaning towards the sarong since they are cheaper and lighter. and the hotel offers fresh beach towels everyday.
