Yes, the information sheets pretty much have all the detail, I will email them for you. I think you really can't reserve until they know how many people you will have and what other weddings are that day (Just my guess). So where did you order your save the dates from? I want to do the boarding passes, but the DIY seems a little intense and they are expensive other wise!

How cool! Have any of your guests booked yet? We are just now getting the info out to everyone via save the dates and email regarding booking with our TA. PM me your email address and I will send you what another girl sent to me re: all the reception venues with a breakdown/description. It was really helpful! I'm hoping for Baja Norte for ours. Based on everything I've read that is my first choice.

Hey! I am considering the exact same thing! When are you getting married? Ours is May 11, 2013. From what I've read, it's not worth the $$ since there is an open bar a few steps away and if you tip the waiters enough they will even run the drinks for you.

Hi Tara! Congrats and welcome! I'm no expert as I'm in the beginning stages as well, but here is the order I went in: 1) Have a rough idea of what your total budget is for the wedding 2) Research Research Research this forum on places (See Resort Reviews at the top) 3) Pick a location (Country, Resort, etc) 4) Decide if you want a travel agent or not (you can find them on here through Wright Travel), and get in contact with them re: room blocks, travel etc 5) Give yourself alot of planning time and let your guests know asap when you pick the resort. One of the things I did when I got engaged is talk to my core group (MOH, close family) to guage if they would be able to attend something like that. Then we started planning so no surprises. Not yet at least We are 10 months away from wedding and I have reserved the room block at the hotel, reserved the date there, taken engagement pictures, asked our wedding party to be part of the big day, and plan to send out save the dates in the next 4 weeks. Hope this helps, I"m sure others who are further along will have some better advice too!

Hi there, we used wedding wire. www.weddingwire.com Its free and pretty easy to use. We are including the website info on the save the dates and possibly invitations. We'll also do a letter with details in it for the save the date or invitations....

Hi Tamara, I am getting married at the Riu Palace in May 2013. Congrats on your engagement! The palace is super affordable (as is santa fe). I've read more positive reviews about Dreams than anything else on the forum, but know a girl who got married at Riu Palace last year and had a blast. I think it depends on your budget, your must- haves, and your guests. I want as many people as possible to make the trip, so we picked an affordable resort. As for the travel agent, I found mine through this site. (Wright Travel Agency). You submit a form and then they contact you and you can ask your questions. Good luck with your planning!

Hi Jessica! I'm also getting married May (11th) 2013 at Riu Palace! How exciting to find another bride doing the same. What is your date? I have found alot of helpful info on here, if you look under the Destination weddings in Cabo threads or search on Riu Palace Cabo you will find lots of info. It sounds like it depends if you want to do the semi-private vs. private option as well as how many people you plan on having. Based on everything I've read, I'm hoping to have enough people to do a private reception at the Baja Norte (by the pool). But, I guess we really won't know for a while since they don't contact you until 2 months before the wedding. Happy Planning!

Hi! I'm getting married at Riu Cabo in May 2013. I have been working with Teresa Stauring from vacations for less (who I found on this forum) for the rooms. She has been incredibly helpful. Basically I just tell her about how many rooms I think I will need and she works that directly with the hotel for rates etc. Then my guests book everything directly through her (if they choose). I think it takes a lot of the stress off so you don't have to worry about it! I can't remember where exactly but there is a request on here to find a travel agent through Wright Travel Agents (They sponsor this forum).

Hi Angela, Congrats, I also am a May 2013 Bride. I have chosen the Riu Palace based on a few things: 1) Location- as the other poster mentioned re: downtown, Lover's Beach, the arches, airport 2) Reviews from personal friend and this website 3) Most importantly: Cost for us and the guests. Having never been there, It seems to me like there may be 'nicer' resorts, but not with a better location for the right price. Just my 2 cents. Good luck! Natalie
