  1. We went with Transat. We've had a couple hiccups with the service provider, but my travel agent has been wonderful in providing work arounds to the changes by Transat. In the end, I think the inconveniences probably benefitted me in the end. I've also heard horror stories about Sunwing, from other brides, and my bridesmaid (who is a travel agent as well - who also won't work with Sunwing anymore).... so I definitely wouldn't book through them. Good luck! Find yourself an awesome travel agent! My first agent was brutal. My second one I stuck with, and he's fantastic.
  2. I've chosen "A Thousand Years" for my bridesmaid walk as well. It's such a pretty song. We haven't chosen our first dance song yet. We have a few condenders though. Top of the list I think is: Andy Grammer "I Choose You" But there is still a few in the running.
  3. Haha! Love the last comment. I didn't have an engagement party. We had a dinner at my parents palce and invited local family (maybe 10 folks) and announced we were engaged, but that was about it. My mom is planning the bridal shower. I think my MOH has offered to help, but my mom really loves planning parties. (It's kind of funny.)... so she's taking the reigns on it. I'm a "Do-It- Yourself" Bride... meaning I literally do everything myself. I've assigned a few tasks to others, told them what I wanted, and just let them run with it... but if I start it... I'm finishing it.
  4. My girls are wearing "Short-Long" dresses. So I can't really vote. They are about knee length in the front and just to the floor in the back. Very flowy... gives it a beachy look.
  5. Actually I just bought them in store. I only bought for the "special" guests too I got them at Bikini Village for $12. I don't know if they are still on sale.
  6. I went with Sarongs. I thought it was appropriate. I bought white for everyone else (since they can wear any bathingsuit with it) and turquoise for myself, since it's my wedding colour, and I can plan bikinis to wear with it. And I already have a white one.
  7. Oh That's so pretty!! I thought the applique were just going to be the standard "belt"... but that's beautiful. I'm a bling girl myself, so I say WITH.
  8. Nobody I know does this. My friends and family are wine drinkers, but my family is full of Spaniards... So we're snobby. We pretty much only drink Spanish wines. Sometimes French. I've actually recently discovered some wines give me migraines.... Not sure why, but I can still drink my campo Rioja with no problems. OH! This post is 150!!!!! Whooooo
  9. Omg! That would be awful! At least it was pretty blue.
  10. Hahaha! It's going to be amazing! We're sitting in seats 1 AB!! It'll be great!
  11. Right now I don't have much left I don't think. My Mom is making the flower girl basket. The pillow was done by my grandma (Step-grandma?) I have to send the script to our chosen officiant. I have to write my vows. I have everything for centerpieces, and I'm only missing a couple things for the OOT bags (tylenol, maybe immodium? and the toppers.) Ummm, have dress fittings to go to, have to make packing lists, and a welcome speech.... what else... I'm sure there are a few other things. I have a good handle on it though. (an 18-month engagement will do that.)
  12. Mel's the name. You have a point there Mrs. TobeD. It's going to be so fun travelling with so many people. There's 18 of us on one plane and 12 on another (and some travelling from other places...) Just the plane alone is going to be awesome. Ha ha Ha
  13. I don't know all the details, but it's not going to be wild and crazy. A little more low key. We're going pole-dancing (okay, maybe not totally low-key) and then dinner and then dancing? Something to that effect. With lots of booze. Haha.
  14. Thank you Thank you. He's a nut bar. I was starting to expect something was up, but only within the last week. Apparently he's been working on this car for almost a month! There's about 35 people coming for my wedding. I think it's a solid group. I'll be able to spend time with everyone, no one will feel left out, but still enough people to give it the wedding feel. And I can hang out with a different group every day! Haha.
  15. This is super awesome! Good job pulling this up! I've been looking for a destination wedding timeline, as our timelines don't really match a local wedding. Let's see if I missed anything (3 months left til mine.)
  16. Congrats! And Enjoy planning your wedding. It goes by pretty quick.
  17. Thank you! He really spoiled me ! This month is so busy with events! Shopping trip this coming weekend, work events, dress fittings (Mine and my girls) and Bachelorette at the end of the month. It;s crazy! And then I'll have two months to finish my planning. Ahhhh!
  18. Fly. Because you could fly over land and water... Even though I prefer water EVERYTHING. (Hello!? Beach wedding.) Blackberry or Iphone?
  19. Every time I've ordered from Vistaprint (and I've placed quite a few orders over the last year. Even did my own Xmas cards last year.) I've googled "vistaprint canada coupons" and retail me no has always had 50% off. Always Always do this before ordering anything online. It might take a bit more time, but it usually can pay off! (I might shop online too much?.... Or not!)
  20. Me too! I want to see this!! Lol So close... Ahhhhh
  21. Today's my birthday!! Whoo Hoo! I'm at work, of course, because it's Monday.... But I celebrated with fam yesterday. And my Future Husband bought me my first car for my birthday. He's a crazy man! But I love him so much! 95 Days til we get married. 89 til we leave for Jamaica. Can't wait!!
  22. Hi Moody, I have been searching hi and low (and posting like crazy) trying to get a topper template. Can you please send? [email protected] Thank you Thank you Thank you.
  23. My MOH has got me drinking vodka waters when we go out. We lie to ourselves and act like we're keeping hydrated, but at least there are no added calories or sugars.
  24. If you are looking at Mexico, I'm going to the Excellence Playa Mujeres right after my wedding in Jamaica (Hey, we need some alone time.) And the resort looks amazing. However it's adults only. But, if you are not planning on bringing children, I would highly reccomend this place.
