I am going to Azul Beach this Labor Day Weekend for a site visit (and to see a wedding)! So excited!

I'm a Mrs. P to be, too Please let me know what you find out about letting the party go late night. It seems like it has to end at 11-11:30 from the other posts I've read. If you get an outside vendor (like photographer and DJ) do you have to pay the $800 fee twice? I think it is ridiculous, too.

I am in the process of signing a contract to get married at Azul Beach on September 1st, 2013. Any tips, suggestions, advice, etc. would be greatly appreciated!

I am seriously considering Azul Beach in September 2013. Did you book? Is it true there is only one wedding per day?

I have so many questions for you all! I'm hoping you can help me narrow down the choices for a all-inclusive hotel to host my wedding on Sunday, September 1, 2013. Ideally I'd like guests to not have to pay more than $1,000 for either 3 or 4 nights so all my friends and family can afford to attend my wedding. I'd like an all-inclusive hotel on a beautiful (no rocks, white sand, aqua water) with beach waiter service with great food for my guests. It would also be perfect if there were options to stay up late celebrating at the hotel (bar or disco). I'd like to do a BBQ rehearsal dinner on the beach with a bon fire and s'mores. For the wedding day, I'd like a ceremony on the beach with a harpist followed by a two hour long cocktail reception with a Mariachi band with appetizers, then a private reception with dinner and a DJ all night. Maybe even have late night snacks delivered to the reception. Mexican wedding cookies and churros would be amazing. Maybe even fireworks or a Mayan fireshow! I am planning on just a symbolic wedding then we will get married at City Hall in Boston after we return. I'd like to be the only bride getting married that day which has made me lean toward Iberostar Tucan or Azul Beach because they both only do one wedding per day. Is that correct? Does anyone have any opinions on the two venues? Any other suggestions? My fiance has nieces and nephews so adults only is not an option. Lastly, what is the cheapest way for guests to book? Through a travel agent? The earlier the better? I'd like to book something soon to reserve the date and will probably visit the hotel(s) this September to check them out.
