I feel your pain!!!!!!!!!!!! I paid $1000 just to fly down there and check out the resort and try to negotiate with the wedding coordinators about our photographer. They won't budge!!!!!!!!!! Its extremely frustrating!!!! I LOVE Azul Beach but their rules stink!!!!!!!!!!! I feel like I am at their mercy. I decided on a destination wedding to save money. But with all these fees and over priced decorations, its turning out to be very cost efficient. I have decided to go SIMPLE and simple as possible!!

I didn't do an actual food tasting, we discussed doing that but then chose not too. We loved the food in the restaurants and pray that the food is comparable to it! LOL Trying to plan with the wedding coordinators is like spinning tires.....whewww...exhausting!! I swear I am not going to do any decor because its so frustrating to try and communicate. I speak very little spanish and although they speak English....its so difficult. You can't tell if they are being shady or just dont' understand what you are saying. You can't get them to commit to ANYTHING. but I'm not stressing because its a beautiful resort and we are going to have a blast regardless. I am ready for all the hiccups!!! LOL

I did go just to check out the resort. I had already signed my contract but I did inquire about them working a deal for me.....no go. I think my fiance and I spent $975 each for our airfare, 3 night stay and transportation to and from the hotel. I will be posting pics soon on my Facebook page. I took over 400 photos of the resort.

The wedding coordinators in Miami work with Lomas weddings to coordinate your wedding. Then when you arrive at Azul Beach, your wedding coordinator there will meet with you and ensure all details you discussed with your coordinator in Miami are worked out. There seems to be a lot of "middle men". I just returned from visiting the resort and it's gorgeous!!! Spoke with a wedding coordinator to try and cut out the middle man/wedding coordinator in Miami but no go. Upgrading the rooms are Well worth it!!!! Huge difference in the deluxe and other rooms.

I am getting married at Azul Beach on May 9 2013.....I'm extremely frustrated with their photographers. Any suggestions? I wish SOMEONE had something positive to say about Matias Cano or Caribe.

The only in house photographers are Matias Cano and Caribe.....has anyone used either of them?!?!?!? I'm desperate for help. I don't want to spend $800 for an outside vendor fee but I also can't think of anyone worth paying for them to travel to photograph my wedding. Desperately hoping someone will respond with some positive feedback regarding either one of these photographers. Thank you!!

We're getting married at Azul beach. Did any of you get married there? If so, which Package did you purchase? What else did you add? What was the total cost?

I would love ANY suggestions, information regarding the wedding packages....which ones you chose and what additional services did you add. Also, I would LOVE an estimate of how much EVERYTHING cost you. Thank you so much!! I am in the process of signing a contract to get married on May 10, 2013. We compared the 2 for the exact same reasons but ended up choosing AZUL Beach becuase of bad reviews of the food and service at Now Jade.
