I love you ladies!!!! LOL Thanks for all the advice!!!! My fiance is super chill and never gets worked up about anything!! So I am stressed that if I push to the front of the line/get in line before my section is called, he will get frustrated with me because it is not the "proper" thing to do. LOL He is so funny....I will have to discuss with him the importance of being "first" even if it is not the "proper" thing to do. I'm hoping I can get a little aggressiveness out of him with this "dress on the flight" situation! LOL Thanks again ladies!!!

Flying with your wedding gown...... How did you past Brides handle this? I was told to take it on the plane as your carry on. I read on a blog that they do NOT count it as your "carry on" item. Does anyone have any more information about this? I contacted Air Tran to reserve "closet" space and received an automated response that they can't guarantee space in their closet to hang the dress. This is stressing me. LOL PLUS, I want to know if I can take another "carry on" besides my purse and dress? I can already see "Bridezilla" sprouted a head if they tell me I can lay it across my lap, if there isn't any closet space! LOL

Thank you!! Do you know if it was version I or version II? I noticed on amazon there are two different ones. The older version for $219 and the newest version for $299. Also did it have an outlet for a microphone and did you bring your own mic for toasts, speeches, etc?

htztrtz - what is the brand and model of the bluetooth speaker you purchased? Was it loud enough?

Thanks everyone!! I think I will just "wing it" when I get to Mexico and pray I can find something at WalMart to decorate with. I had the same problem with WalMart's website a few weeks ago when I tried to shop on their site. I copied Kaela's letter and attached Azul's Fact Sheet (which includes information about the dress code) and a map of Azul for each of my guests. I have attached them below as well. Kaela, I purchased a bolt of tulle (40 yards) and I was told the sheers for the gazebo are approximately 13 yards each so I was planning to have 3 sheers hung on the gazebo. Do you know if this is enough? Did you have some leftover? Yes, they gave me the chair bow measurements so I will cut them at home. Thank you so much for your help!!!! I still have not decided on decor for the tables and it is stressing me out! LOL Did you happen to hit the WalMart in Cancun? I was told that I could purchase candles and vases there but I'm curious as to the selection they may or may not have.

Kaela, how did you pack your bolt of tulle? Does it travel well? Should I pre cut the tulle for my chair bows? I know you said they cut the sheets for the gazebo for you there.

Did you buy floral centerpieces for each table from Azul/Lomas? Do you have a picture? I'm torn....I planned to take my own tables runners and I bought clear bowls to fill with water and place floating candles to use as centerpieces. I was hoping that since the candles will sit down in the bowls, the wind won't blow them out. I also bought the colored water beads to place in the bowls for more "color". Help! LOL

Kaela, So you didn't use table runners at the reception? Also, were the blue glass votive candles heavy? I was concerned about the shipping costs. Thanks in advance for your help!! I leave in less than 60 days!!

I would love to see the snail mail list/items you sent to your confirmed guests. I sent one several weeks ago with a map of the resort and a few tips that I was aware of and I plan to send it again but would love to see what you sent to see if I need to add some stuff. What are the other choices for a private reception for a party of approximately 45 people? I am booked for the Blue Terrace but I have to pay for 50 people regardless. Just curious what are my other options. Thank you!

I saw this post a few months ago and kept it for notes....hope this helps you with a timeline. Hair at noon Makeup at 2 Photographer arrive at 230 Wedding at 4 Guests grabbed a drink and then went to cocktail hour at 430 We joined the cocktail hour at 5, 515 they ushered guests to the reception on the beach We went at 520. introduced at 530, went right into the first dance then father daughter Dinner was fast (per my request and speeches were before the salad and before the main meal Cake cutting right after dinner (645 or 7) then dance all night!

I visited the resort to speak to them in person. They are still being funny about my number of guest being 48 but they finally said, "OK, but you have to pay for 50 people regardless."

They recommend 12 top tables. I'm having 48 guests at blue terrace. I can send you the layout suggestions they sent to me via email
