So excited that I submitted before I was done lol What is/did everyone do for the welcome dinner/cocktail hour? Where was it? How much did it cost? How long was it? Thanks! -

Hey ladies! Just decided on PPR for my June 30, 2014, wedding. We're doing it at the Jellyfish that day, but we're all staying at the PPR for the weekend (most of my guests are extending). So excited!! -

I'm sure if you tried on a similar style, you would know how it looks on you. -
JellyFish for 2014:

Thanks for this review! I decided with so many mediocre/bad reviews of ME/MC - pretty much people saying it's good for the cost, but not like it was amazing, which is the experience I wanted. So, I am going with Paradisus Palma Real. Super excited! Can't wait for my meeting with Mayte! -

Definitely taking that into consideration! Sample sales usually you walk out the store with the dress, though. And as for BM dresses, I'm thinking of having my girls in a maxi dress we order online - something pretty, but inexpensive, not too fancy. Something they can legitimately wear again because it's a maxi dress, not a BM dress. As for me.. I have to get back to NY to wedding dress shop anyway (moved out of NY to SC) and I won't likely be there until Dec anyway. It'll be tight, for sure.. 6 months out.. but if I have to pay a rush fee, I won't have much of a choice. Although, I am considering going in October/November with just my FI and starting the process, just to see how I like things on me and make it easier. Aww, cheer up! At the end of the day, you're going to be MARRIED and that's all that matters. Screw everyone else! Also, that dress is STUNNING! -

Well, I'm personally not planning to go until about 6 months out bc I'm still working on losing weight. You should look up sample sales and you can walk out with a dress that day. I see you're from NYC, that's about a 4 hr drive or bus ride to Boston where they have Vows, which is all sample dresses. Google them. You might have to put a rush order on dresses, but I am sure you will be able to find things. Do you have any idea of what you're looking for in mind? Good luck! Thanks! -

Anyone use CoresFilms? I emailed them and have not gotten a response yet. Wondering how much they charge for video. I think Caribbean Emotions charges $400 + $400 for the reception so $800 for a video total b/c we want the reception. -

Hey ladies! I'm having my wedding June 30, 2014, at the Jellyfish Restaurant. I'm looking at having my guests stay at Paradisus Palma Real. To the PP who asked about pricing - I got $560 for the first 3 nights per person based on double occ and then $170 each additional night. It also includes free transportation to/fm the airport/hotel. I am 99% certain that I will be choosing this resort, just haven't made the final deal yet. I am waiting to hear back from their wedding coordinator about the possibility of having a sunrise ceremony. I want a sunrise ceremony and then breakfast after, followed by a dinner reception at the Jellyfish on that Monday 6/30. I want a welcome dinner that Sat 6/28 at the Passion restaurant. I wonder if they will do that for me. Does anyone know what the outside vendor fee is? -

As for the decor, I really hope that's an option - it sounds like it is from her pricing. I am looking to keep it at a minimum and am hoping she can use stuff that she already has. For drinks, there is a simple open bar open for $8 per person, per hour. It includes: SIMPLE OPEN BAR Ron Brugal Carta Dorada Vodka Eristoff Cerveza Presidente Soft Drinks Juices Bottled water But no wine... The dinner open bar is: DRINKS FOR DINNER During all time dinner Wine red and white Beer Soft drinks Juices Bottled water And that is $10 per hour during dinner. Maybe she will extend it past dinner for you? -

Hello ladies, I'm booked for June 30, 2014! Next step is to send a deposit via the wire transfer and then book a photographer and pick a resort. We got pricing for Majestic Elegance and Iberostar Bavaro Suites. I asked my TA to look into Paradisus Palma Real. I also personally emailed AlSol Del Mar and got a good price from them, but I can't find a single review about this resort! It is not the same as AlSol Luxury Village. The price is pretty good considering they're a 5-star resort, I don't know what to do! -

Wow, lot's of you at the Majestic Elegance. I was considering the Colonial because it's cheaper. Also considering Iberostar Bavaro Suites but it's about $40/more per night per couple than Maj Elegance. We asked our TA to price Paradisus Palma Real. We both really want to do it there. -

I'm pretty sure we're booking Jellyfish for June 30. Just sent my parents the info to wire over a deposit. Where is everyone staying? -

Yes, I emailed them back asking them for pricing for additional things, but it took them nearly 3 weeks to get back to me the first time. My fiance is driving me nuts and is now saying he'd rather go with Jellyfish because he thinks they do so many weddings, they'd be better. I think Huracan did a beautiful wedding, but there's only 1 I can find online and I really do wish there were more. -

Any ladies here considering Huracan Cafe instead of Jellyfish? Would love to start a discussion on it - I started a thread and a fb group. -
Hey everyone! I haven't found a thread about this venue and would like a place where future brides can come and share information. Anyone else considering Huracan because Jellyfish is booked or just because they like it? Please share pricing information (I have some information about food/drinks, but not decor or anything additional). So far the only pictures of any weddings that I can find is here: http://www.katyanovablog.com/huracan-cafe-punta-cana-wedding-alexandra-tyler/comment-page-1/#comment-44586 I'm considering making a fb page for it, let me know if anyone is interested!
