    I am not sure what we saved bc I didn't look into.it.once we found jellyfish...Asha said it best! Jellyfish had no restrictions & 100% customized, along with better food & drink than at resorts, better atmosphere and privacy etc etc. I know the packages at our resort were more expensive and included less with a lot of restrictions.

    Congrats! And we planned in about 5 months ...was perfect and less time to stress! Altho in the end there was nothing to stress about, everything was perfect!

    I got married at Jellyfish in December 2012 and could help with questions, estimate pricing etc. Only thing with that is i have heard prices went up in 2013 so i am not much help in that way!

    We paid $1000 deposit, just so we had that much less to.bring with us. It was never a problem for us, we got confirmation they received the deposit but def keep all of the information etc as they are so busy.

    We booked our hotel (Majestic Elegance ) and Jellyfish in July 2012 for December 2012...just less than 5 months out. We had a 2 week time frame we wanted and were flexible within those 2 weeks

    Yes you can pick different apps and meal options..we had 3 meal options and 4 apps. They can make it whatever u want!

    We had everyone stay at ME, they share the Caribbean St area and are right next to each other but we saw MC guests get turned away, redirected from ME so ww would not get to hang with MC guests.for meals, at the pool etc. Altho someone did say Mc guests could go to ME so maybe depends on how strict certain staff are??

    I did a welcome letter with information about the resort, wedding day etc and put in their welcome/gift bags. As for fire dancers, we had them right after dinner/cupcakes...Mayte had seating outside all set up and it was a smooth transition :-)

    We wired $ about 4 months before, as soon as we confirmed our date.

    For us, Jellyfish was quite a bit cheaper than having it at the Majestic Elegance...and just as important they were a lot.more flexible with everything overall and only have 1 wedding a day there. Loved it!

    Our group LOVED the Bacon wrapped shrimp as an app. We also had mozz sticks and hot pockets, both were good also!

    I think the earlier the better but we didn't book anything until 5 months beforehand and it was fine :-)

    There are different table options, round or square. Square fit 8 people, round 8-10 i think. We used a combination of both

    I got married in December and really didnt have a lot of.communication leading up to it. We had discussed everything we needed.to prior and had our meeting set up.i would just make sure u get to meet with her a few days before ue wedding and u should be.fine :-)

    I had about the same timeline, married around 4:30ish on December 9. Got ready at JF with my 2 bridesmaids around noon, photographer arrived around 3/3:30, guests arrived a few minutes before ceremony to get their drinks, check out the views and grabbed their seats. Mayte worked out the timeline perfectly, changed a little from what i had planned but worked great!

    We stayed at ME and there were two group excursions during the week, which people booked once there. There is a row of vendors near lobby entrance with excursions that all want ur business :-)

    Oh yeah forgot about the 50 people thing! And Jellyfish was actually cheaper for us than our resort, plus much more personal and flexible!

    The ceremony fee includes everything...chairs, decorations, gazebo thingy, table, etc. And Mayte will arrange transportation how you request. My bridesmaids and i were picked up early as we got ready there, the rest of the guests came in 2 large buses. She will arrange it how you want though. You won't regret moving it to jellyfish!

    Myself and both sets of parents used the safe at the ME all week with no problems (we split up the $, just in case).

    Mayte will help you with this. I had planned on 3:45 but Mayte moved it to 3:30 to allow time to get drinks, seated etc.
