Question for the bdw brides - the traditional wedding reception normally has a picture of bride and groom at the entrance of the reception. For those of us who has a destination wedding, how do you plan on having the picture place? Do you plan to have any at all? With the picture In a big frame, how do you manage to get it to your destination? Please help!

I know this thread is a bit old. I'd like to ask if any of the brides here have their ceremony program that they use during the catholic ceremony? Or any site that you can direct me to? Thanks alot in advance. :-)

ok....I just want to share with the fellow brides here - so here is the final answer for me and this is what we will be doing. My FI is non-Christian and I am a Catholic. The priest in Mexico would allow me to have a ceremony in church if my parish in the US gives me permission to do so. So, we went to my parish and do all the paperwork and pre-cana. Ta da.....everything is fine. I was sweating for nothing. I am able to get a permission letter from my parish and the church in Mexico will perform a Catholic ceremony there. I hope I can help the future brides here.

My wedding is coming closer and my mind has been changing about the bridal party everyday. My FI has picked his best friend as his best man. Many of my gfs can't afford to go. At first I thought of having one grooms man and one bridesmaid. Now I feel like I want my 2 brothers to stand with me. My FI doesn't mind having them stand on his side since they are also friends. Should I feel obligated to have my FI sister be on my side? I'm not close to her nor talk to her that often. She has a 2 year old which will be my ring bearer. So now, I have to find more girls to be on my side because I want to add my 2 brothers. I asked him if my brothers can stand with me and he picks one more GM but my FI sticks with bridesmaid should be girls. Should I add my brothers to the bridal party? Should I have his sister be part of it? Any input is appreciated.

Hello. I'm trying to see how much coverage do I need from the photographer and the videographer. The vendor told me that he will leave an hour before my reception ends. Don't they normally stay until the end of reception? He said that he usually does not, unless if I want him to. What are you ladies have it planned? Please share.

Does your reception end at 8.30? or u just ended the photography at 8.30? I'm trying to see if i would want to have the photographer stay til the end of reception or not. What do you think?

That's great to hear. I'm thinking of booking with them as well. My FI and I are not music people either so we'll be trusting the DJ to do what he needs to do. Is the DJ your MC as well? If not, who did you have as your MC (host)?

This is sad to hear from the fellow brides on communicating with the WC. Like I said before, if it wasn't because of the chapel, I would flee somewhere else longgggg time ago. Right after I put the deposit down to block my date, I sent questions in for my WC. It has been 8 days and have not heard from her! Do you ladies communicate via your personal email or through the communicator link that your WC sent you?

Where does everyone get their pictures of the little palm trees or flowers that are on the boarding pass from?

Thank you for sharing your site visit review. Question for you on the decoration - your wedding will be at 4pm, but you have to place your decorations at the reception tables at 2-3pm? Could you help me clarify? I'm thinking of getting flowers from the outside vendor as well. How did you find Vanessa? Is she familiar with Gran Caribe and its chapel? Do you find that the small pool at Gran Caribe would bother you during your wedding stay?

Mufin1785, Could you please share the wording that you use on your invites when you list both DW and AHR events together? I think I want to do the same, so if some guests say no to the DW, they can say yes to AHR in one shot. Thanks in advance!

Txbrideinmexico- I totally hear you about the inflexibility and lack of communication of the WC. I have been having many negative experiences with them. If it's not because of their beautiful chapel, I would have changed my business elsewhere long time ago. Everything is by the book. No negotiating at all. :-(

If you choose the Royal catholic package, the priest is already included.
