  1. I can't fault James' communication. After hearing his explanation, I'm not surprised that he didn't know about your request about shortening the train length. What's great though is that he is willing to go above and beyond to get the dresses made to his customer's satisfaction. This is part of James' response when I communicated my frustrations about the dress (and also not dealing with Candy). I hope he doesn't mind me posting it but I think it will be useful to those who were dealing with Candy to perhaps reiterate to their new sales rep how they want their dress made: "Now, about Candy: I don't think she knew what you wanted, because if she did then she should have put notes in the work order describing the details you have mentioned, but unfortunately no such details are present in the work order she has prepared. The only instructions were to replicate the dress as on this page: http://www.jasminesbridalshop.com/index.php?task=productdetail&id=11154 It is unfortunate that she had to leave, but Candy had issues which did not align with the values of our company and she was a trainee who worked here for 3 months only. She might have told you that she understood what you meant, but she probably really didn't - this is one of the problems we had with her which lead to her departure. I am the co-owner of our company and I have consulted customers on over 2000 dresses, and I was the one who researched/analyzed the original Gemma dress for 4 months to replicate it as accurate as possible like the original. I know this dress' structure like the back of my hands. So you are in good hands, I assure you And I just need you to please tell me what needs to be changed at this point, and my team will take care of it - we always do On a side note: this replication (the first photos you have received) did not turn out to be as accurate to the original as we would like it to be, because it was a Premium Grade seamstress who worked on it. But it turned out that you liked most parts of it, which is coincidental but great for both of us If you can continue to highlight all the issues you have with this latest photos, it would be very helpful to us. Thank you! Don't worry, we *will* make the dress the way you want it to be :)"
  2. My dress @ mid production is on page 472. This is the version they sent me before the misunderstanding that led to rosette overload This is the rosette overload version I think I did over react the other day. I think the dress does look better from the side. But I def prefer the front of the dress prior to the revisions. I sent James 4 emails in 24 hours (in a state of panic) and he has reassured me that it can be fixed. Hopefully I get pics in the next few days and I will post them on here.
  3. Keep the dress you have. It's gorgeous and suits you to a T. Gettibg replicas made is very stressful
  4. Hi ladies, Candy is no longer working at Jasmines so I've been dealing with James. Unfortunately he does not "get" what I want like Candy did and so my dress does not look like my mid production photos anymore (which is how I loved it). I asked for him to add one more rosette to the right of the dress so that you can only see it from the side. But I don't think he understood what I meant and so the skirt has completely changed so that it's rosette overkill. I'm hoping they can fix it because right now I'm not loving my dress I will post pics up later when I'm on my computer
  5. Oh I was looking on the other side trying to figure out what you were talking about. LOL. The original does have a fold like that, which is probably why I didn't notice anything wrong. I've noticed that the positioning of that particular fold varies from dress to dress- some diagonally crosses the bust from top left hand facing to just under the bust on the right iwhilst others scoop below the bust line (like how olympicbrides' is). I ummed and ahhhed about the positioning of that particular fold for my dress for a really long time. Just like what Tulumbride said, it really depends on what you like. Did you order in premium or designer grade fabric Olympicbride?
  6. Olympic bride, they did a great job with your dress. I'm one of the other gemma brides on this forum. If you want more boobage, I would ask them to lower the neckline slightly. I have a tonne of gemma pics on real brides, which I can share with you. Do you like how this one looks? "The only thing that bothers me personally about your dress : 5th pic down, right boob.... That one piece of fabric looks alomost folded into that spot. I don't know if that's how the original looks or what so I can't really say if that's correct to the design of the dress." - I can't see what you're seeing Tullumbride 2013. I know you mentioned that they are still working on the skirt. Will they be altering the way the tulle parts attaches from the bodice to the skirt? It looks a bit odd how it is at the moment
  7. I asked them to adjust the neckline on my dress 3 times before I was happy with it so I'm certain they can do it for you. In terms of the rouching, what I mean to say is that the folds are a little thicker on yours so it does stand out a bit more. I think it's a non-issue really as it looks awesome as is. Just a minor difference to the original. Good call on the half corset, half zipper. I once saw a girl who did the full corset back without the modesty panel and you could see her underwear sticking out :S
  8. I'm pretty sure that every dress ordered from Jasmine;s comes with a free garment bag with their logo on it. If you want a garmet bag without the logo, then you will have to pay extra.
  9. I'm on my ipad so havent figured out how to attach pictures. Maggie sottero does a tonne of dresses with corset backs in organza (I think I have been living under a rock). Have a look at the Maggie Sottero Monet- the train is similar to your inspiration dress and it has a corset back.
  10. Uhulra, I think it can work with a corset style back. You will jave to decide if you want it to extend past your waist like the original. If so, I would definetly ask of a modesty panel. I haven't seen that many organza dresses that are lace ups though. Do you know if the dress is made of organza? Perhaps you could do a google search and see if you can find examples. I'll do one later and post some pictures if I find any. I don't think an underskirt is neccesary. I only chose it coz I'm really clumsy and will need the skirt to stick out away from my legs so I won't trip!
  11. I love it. It's gorgeous. There's a few differences, which you may or may not want to change. I had to google to find more pictures of your inspiration dress: 1. The sweetheart neckline is more rounded in yours 2. The ruching is a little more prominent in yours (i.e left bust) 3. Will you be wearing an underskirt? This may make the bottom a little more full 4. The corset back seems a little short (this is more of a practical issue). Are they putting in a zipper also?
