I carefully rand the knife down the printed line on the card stock. The knife didn't slice all the way thorough it just made them easier to fold. The perforater was going all the way through and you could see the perforated edge once it was folded.

Thanks! I was nervous to take on this project. I have never done anything crafty before I started this wedding planning. After looking at over 100 bridal bouquet pictures I decided to give it a go. Just couldn't see paying $175 for a bouquet from the resort florist that wouldn't even last a week.

I like the first dress better it is unique and fits your body well. In the end its your day and you should wear the dress you like best.

I am glad I came across this thread. I will now plan to send out reminder postcards closer to the deadline. I also want to say that I definitely think it is rude not to respond but if people say no you have to respect that too. I was invited to a destination wedding two years ago by a friend. She isn't a close friend and I responded no to the RSVP. She never asked why but my reason would be perceived as selfish by some. My FI and I only have two weeks of vacation per year. We use both of those weeks to stay at five star adults only all inclusive resorts. She chose a 3 star kid friendly resort. After reading the reviews on trip adviser I realized that I was not willing to use one of my vacation weeks as well as spend about 70% of what I would normally spend on a vacation to go somewhere that I would not enjoy. just trying to add another perspective.

We are not having anyone in the wedding party. We are having all of our really close family and friends there. I have never enjoyed the experience of being a bridesmaid so I did not want to inflict that on anyone else. I just want everyone who is important to be to be there to celebrate the day with me.

I am planning this on wearing my real wedding dress for the the TTD. Mine has a layerred organza bottom so i figure that it will dry out fairly quickly. Also i want to put the pictures in the same album so i figure don't want the dresses to be different.

If it wereme i would go with a very blingy bracelet and earriings with bare feet.

I think both dresses look great. It is really helpful to see pictures of the dresses. I am leaning toward a "replica" myself.

We are staying 9 nights at the resort. I am sure we will manage some alone time during that period. I think that many of the guests are going as much for a great vacation as they are for our wedding. We don't have children and we work roughly the same hours so we get a lot of alone time already. So I am not overly concerned with getting alone time with my man.

We purchased a perforator that we were planning to use to help us fold the card stock for the jackets. I found that a dull kitchen knife worked much better for this task.

I have been on vacation to mexico four times but after all of the non traveling family members would not stop talking about how unsafe it is i opted for jamaica. Funny thing is i felt so much safer walking down the streets in playa del Carmen than i ever did in montego bay. At the end of the day it is important to me to have my imediate family there with me, so i am willing to be somewhat flexible.

My FI has been very involved. We spent four hours together on the computer designing the boarding pass invatations and the jackets. He has even made trips to the craft store with me. I am the kind of person who has not been planning this day forever, so if it were all up to me it would be much simpiler. I was going to do a regular wedding invite but once he saw the boarding pass kind he was insistant that we do those.

We were just talking about this today. I was also wondering if it was ok to tell everyone that we do not want any gifts.

In the past two years I have stayed at the Royal in Playa del Carmen, the Royal in Cancun, and the Valentin Imperial Maya. The Royal in Playa del Carmen was my favorite because the room was gorgeous and the food was amazing. The Valentin's rooms weren't as nice and the food wasn't as good but the grounds and the pool were gorgeous. Hope this helps :-)

How many months before the wedding did you all pick a travel agent so guests could begin to reserve rooms? Were the rates competative?
