My wedding was beyond perfect. Of course there were hiccups along the way, but none of that mattered in the end I was beyond happy with the Royal. They are really there for you, to make sure you are happy, and want to make your day special. I had my ceremony at Pelicanos Beach which is a little seperated from the rest of the "busy" part of the beach. I actually didn't have my reception at the Royal, I moved it to a private location about 4 blocks away at a restaurant called Wicky's. It was cheaper for us, and I had A LOT more control. I'm happy to elaborate more about that if you want. Our group including us was a total of 15. I did use a local photographer Juan Navarro, and he was amazing! I researched a lot and he had some of the best prices and came with great recommendations from other brides. I am more than happy to share any and all info I can, I know how nerve wracking it can be to plan from so far away.

Thanks! Everything was perfect, and why yes I do have a couple of teasers I could share. But won't be until tomorrow probably when I can get to my computer I will try to have my bio and review finished sometime in the next week as well, I have lots of details to share. Ugh, I just wish we could go back like today!

When we arrived they had a mini welcome cake for us that was a tres leches cake. I thought it was pretty good, kind of like a white cake with a custard filling. For our wedding cake we ordered chocolate with raspberry filling, which we thought was great! Word of advice, their cakes are huge! So unless you have a huge party coming with you, don't let them scare you that there won't be enough cake. Another bride told me this piece of advice and I'm glad I listened. Our "tiny" cake as she called it, was enough to feed our entire group of fifteen with cake left over.

Hi! I used Marvin at Maya Floral for my flowers and he did a great job. Very easy to work with, quick responses, and great prices. My flowers were gorgeous and turned out just as I had wanted them. You email and tell him what you want and he sends back pictures, and from there you narrow down everything until its perfect. Hi and Welcome! I am around carbs allllll the time, but I rarely cheat. The thing about low carb that I have found is that it takes some research and education to understand what is "low carb" because it's more than just eating meat and cheese. Research recipes to find ones that work for you and your family, and I bet that you will find that your family begins to follow you naturally. For dinners in my house I just make dinners that include a good portion of protein and a large serving of low carb veggies. Summer is a great time to start a low carb diet because a lot of the veggies that you find at farmers market will fit well into the diet, such as zucchini and yellow squash. You can eat zucchini every night without your family complaining as long as you prepare it differently. Some nights I grill it, or bake it, or saute. Each night is different. The first week or two will be rocky and you will probably feel very limited, but you will get used to it In my house we used to eat garlic bread, or biscuits with every single dinner. We don't anymore, and I don't miss them one bit. Snacks will be your best friend, keep low carb snacks on hand as much as possible and your life will be much easier. Almonds are my favorite, only 2 carbs per serving.

Question for all the brides who have already been to the resort; How strict were the dress codes at the restaurants? I am putting together a welcome brochure for my guests and was going to include dress code info for the restaurants. Their website isn't exactly clear so I was hoping to get some words of wisdom! Also, any other important info you think I should include in my brochures would be great, Thanks!

Instead of ordering off of sizes such as 6 or 8, go based on measurements such as hip, waist, and chest. They should have a chart to use. Wedding dress sizing is way different from normal sizing. For example I normally wear a size 10-12 dress, but my wedding dress is a size 16. Hope that helps! Also, if it is a lace up back, there is more room for error because it can be easily adjusted

Hi ladies! Although we haven't decided what we are going to give, FI was recently in a wedding and received a pretty cool gift. The groom had gone to a local cigar/smoke shop and bought each guy a handmade tobacco pipe. Each one was hand carved so they were all different. He also included a different flavored tobacco in each gift along with pipe cleaners. Now, my FI doesn't smoke but it was such a neat gift he loved it. That groom is our best man so we are trying to figure out an equally cool gift, lol! Good luck!

I see that you got married at 4, did you think that was too early or was it a good time? We are getting married at 3 (to avoid the $400 weekend fee) and part of me is worried that it is too early since our dinner won't be until 6. We are having our reception off-site at Wickys since we have a small group coming with us and heard from other brides that it is a better option for smaller groups, otherwise I had to pay for 20 plates minimum.

This is the picture of the dress I ordered. I didn't want to post a picture of the dress that I received because like I said before the sizing on top is WAY too big for me so it doesn't look right. But I can say that they did a great job! Once I get all the alterations done so that it fits me correctly I will be sure to post pictures of what it looks like. The pictures I did take of it just don't do it any justice and I don't want you to see the pictures and get scared because like I said, it is very well constructed just bad sizing. My size is so odd to begin with, I have a 45 hip and 33 waist that I'm not really that upset about it and kind of knew I would probably have to take the top in anyways. I say go with your gut and order the dress you want! PS the dress you are looking at was one that I had considered as well

Now, don't get me wrong because this dress isn't "perfect" but it will be once I get done with it. I got the custom sizing because my size is a little weird, I'm a 12 up top but a 16 around my hips. Unfortunately on the dress the hips are a little snug (if I lose an inch or two off my hips it will be perfect) but the top is way too big. I think when people look at my numbers they assume I have a large chest, but I don't. I'm a solid B cup and this dress could fit a large C. Even with the lace up back cinched all the in there is still a lot of room which doesn't flatter me very well and kinda makes me look bigger than I am. With that being said it will be easy to take it in, and it should be perfect! The fabric is great, and the construction is amazing. I really cannot express how great the construction is because in that area this company gets an A+++ The cups are built in and the bodice has a ton of boning which is wonderful (and once it's taken in will be a huge help to make me look great). There are little things here and there that could be better, but when you pay $180 for a dress that could easily be $2,000 the little things aren't that big of a deal! I paid $138 for the dress, $14.99 for custom sizing (don't know that I recommend it) and $30 for shipping. I ordered on June 9th, and received it July 5th so less than 30 days! Pretty good for a custom dress coming all the way from China! I would order from them again and again no doubt about it.

I agree, absolutely stunning!!! Question about the eyelashes..... if you get your makeup done there, can you buy the eyelashes from them and have them put them on? I would be totally lost trying to buy false eyelashes and I don't think I would know anyone who could help me.....?
