  1. i love your first dress! have you considered changing into a trumpet style dress or are you having an at home reception where you can wear one_ either way you cant go wrong, the first one looks like you will be extremely comfortable and you should consider doing a trash the dress!
  2. wow 100 guests sounds like a great party!! FUN!
  3. a photographer quoting $450 for full day and a CD seems scary. please keep in mind "if it sounds too good to be true it usually is"
  4. the quality isnt always the best with vistaprint, but they have excellent customer service so if anything is printed incorrectly they will ship a new batch free of charge if you are looking for nice quality cards for save the dates or other fun little products from a print lab, use mpix.com
  5. photography and video combos are not always best for the finest quality. could just be me, but I would prefer to have the best in that certain specialty, which most of the times isn't the case for photo/video combos
  6. i am a photographer here at majestic elegance, AMAZING! cant wait to share the wedding and TTD!
  7. i am a destination wedding photographer. I''ve heard every question known to man, and when i was choosing my photographer I also wanted information but without disrespecting them or their work in some way. I'd say the biggest questions you should ask are: 1. how long have you been photographing weddings or how often do you shoot a wedding? experience? 2. how long do you stay at the destination? *what if it rains and you want to reschedule your TTD? 3. what "rights" do I receive,lf receiving cd 4. how long until I see my photos? turnaround time? 5. request to see a full wedding in terms of equipment, it shouldn't make a difference since it will mean little to the average person. maybe more like do you shoot in RAW with full frame censor? in terms of dress, most destinations are hot as can be, so dont get hung up on them not wearing a dress! I wear normally black capris and sandals - this question seems irrelevant hope that helps, straight from the mouth of a photog!
  8. dont be afraid of having a trash the dress or day after session to get all the shots you normally wouldnt do on your wedding day
  9. i love making couples dance on the beach too! http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=10150822347669332&set=a.10150538684104332.383808.29521854331&type=3&theater
  10. they are all beyond gorgeous, and you are a very gorgeous girl! As a photographer, I would love to photograph you in dress #2
  11. depending on your location and when you are getting married, take into account the heat. I have photographed a groom in all linen, which completely soaks through with sweat and is very obvious. my groom this week wore a gray suit which is harder to see sweat through although it is heavier
  12. I am currently shooting a wedding in Punta Cana this week, but I also travel to the Cancun area http://www.stylemepretty.com/destination-weddings/2012/06/05/dominican-republic-wedding-at-iberostar-grand-hotel-bavaro-by-kristin-la-voie-photography/
  13. congratulations to everyone! you will have the most amazing time! I am in Punta Cana right now photographing a wedding yesterday and trash the dress today. It was the best decision ever since it rained during our couple portraits after the ceremony. So make sure you work with a photographer who will offer that to you!
  14. I am a destination wedding photographer so I travel worldwide I will send you an email
  15. I am a photographer in PC as we speak at majestic elegance, the wedding was amazing and we are doing a trash the dress tomorrow can't wait to share!

  17. i have been to Punta Cana several times for destination weddings, and will be going back next week! It's one hoppin' place , just do your research on the local photographers!
  18. Hi Tessa! I photograph destination weddings, and it is definitely possible to have amazing photos without paying an arm and a leg. I would of course highly recommend an outside photographer who specializes in wedding photography rather than resort photographers known for their bland and traditional, cookie cutter approach as they have been trained to do. And it's never to early to start planning and booking, the earlier the better!
